Playing my first melee build on Switch (level 22, wearing Ebony plate) and I love the damage output, but I'm moving like I'm underwater. I've got the perk that reduces heavy armor weight, but apparently that's not enough. Do I need to dump points into Stamina or is there a perk I'm forgetting...
I just realized I've been playing Hearthfire completely wrong. Like, I always just... hired a steward, told them to build stuff, and then ignored them. But I actually watched what Rayya was doing at Lakeview the other day and she's legitimately out there managing the whole place - chopping wood...
Yeah I get this. The first time I did Forbidden Legend I was genuinely invested in finding those amulet pieces, reading the journals, piecing together the story. Second playthrough I just looked up the locations and speed-ran it because I already knew the payoff wasn't worth the time investment...
I'm on my second playthrough (level 31, playing on Switch) and I've been running two Conjured Atronachs for most of the mid-game. They're great for damage but they constantly stand in doorways during dungeons and it's driving me nuts—I'll be trying to sneak or just move through a tight space and...
I just finished the Thieves Guild stuff on my current playthrough and man, knowing the twist with Mercer Frey ahead of time actually makes the whole thing better, not worse. Like the first time through you're just doing jobs and it feels kind of grindy, but this time I was watching his dialogue...
Coming back to Skyrim after like two years away, and I remember the vanilla graphics looking pretty rough. I'm on PC this time around, so I figure now's the time to actually do a graphics overhaul instead of just playing it stock. But every time I look at modlists online they're either outdated...
I actually disagree with this one. The cellar's nice for storage, sure, but I find myself barely going down there because it just feels depressing compared to having actual windows and natural light. On my current playthrough I've got the main bedroom upstairs with a view, and yeah it's smaller...
I get the frustration but I think the forced nature is kind of the point? Like, Meridia is explicitly about life and undeath - she's not asking permission, she's commanding you. The other Daedric quests let you choose because those Daedra care about your agency or your suffering or whatever...
Yeah, Blood on the Ice actually holds up way better than people give it credit for. The detective angle is what makes it work - you're not just following quest markers, you actually have to pay attention to what people are telling you and piece it together yourself.
I think part of why it flies...
I'm doing a pure mage run on my second playthrough and I'm at level 35 with pretty solid Restoration perks, but healing spells still feel like they barely tick compared to my Destruction damage. Like, a Fireball does way more work than a Heal spell even though I've leveled both trees equally. Is...
I get the frustration, but I think you're being a bit harsh on the setup stuff. Like, the early quests where you're meeting the different school leaders and doing their tasks - those actually do build character for the faction, even if they're fetch quests. You're learning what each school...
I just watched Farkas walk directly into a rock face for thirty seconds while I'm fighting three draugr. He was RIGHT THERE. Just... committed to that rock. Eventually he clipped through it but not before I took like four hits I didn't need to take.
This happens constantly and I don't know if...
I get the nostalgia, but I think you're maybe remembering Morrowind's faction system as a bit more restrictive than it actually was? You could join House Hlaalu, House Redoran, and House Telvanni all at once in Morrowind too - there wasn't some hard block stopping you. The difference was more...
So I just finished building out Lakeview Manor on my current playthrough and hired Rayya as steward, and I watched her get absolutely demolished by a single bandit during a homestead attack. Like, she had full Daedric armor and a two-handed sword and still managed to die in like six seconds...
Yeah that's rough. Honestly the safest bet is always the official storage chest - the one that's explicitly labeled for storage when you build it. I've heard too many stories about random barrels and baskets despawning their contents, even in player homes. It's supposed to be safe but the game...
