Yeah, a girl left her phone at the library. I had it here at the desk, and someone kept calling it. I answered it to inform the caller that the owner had left the phone in the library, only for it to be the owner's boyfriend freaking out about another man answering the phone.
It went downhill from there.

Well, he finally got the idea that I wasn't a lover (after I repeated myself several times and he finally shut up for a few seconds).
Then came trying to give the man directions to the campus. Harder than it should have been because he kept insisting that we were at an address located at least a half hour away. *sigh*
The girl came and got her phone back while I was on break, though. Hopefully it's all over with now.

*shakes head* if you answer someones lost phone dont say hello, always go "The owner left their phone behind do you know of another way to get a hold of them so the phone can be returned"

(ended being a good and bad idea) was the dudes wife and yeah I kinda went through the same thing til i yelled back and told her "HEY LADY sorry but I FOUND this phone and WAS BEING NICE enough to call back and return it"

That's the thing- I answered and immediately said "Hi, this is the library, the owner of this phone left it here."
