As i said before, the people that don't like to power level - and it is power leveling, because power leveling is doing something repeatedly to raise a specific skill - are happy, and the people that wanted to power level smithing are now cut off. So congratulations to the people that wanted it...
Wow... just.. Woww.. This is another one of those times i wish this forum had the facepalm emoticon.. I just lost a little bit of my faith in humanity as a whole.. :-(
I halfway agree with you. While you're absolutely right that mages can be loads of fun and it's fully possible to become super powerful using only magic, i still think it's gimped compared to melee and archery. You can make weapons that deal hundreds of damage without exploiting anything, but...
My point is that skyrim, as well as the other TES titles and the fallout titles, is that there is no "when you should" only a "when you want to". THIS is what Beth tries to accomplish with all their games. But now, since so many people complained, they took part of that aspect away from people...
Game breaking, as i've always seen it used in referance to skyrim as well as other games, is using an exploit that causes a glitch so extreme that it renders your game un-playable. Powerleveling smithing wasn't even an exploit, it was powerleveling. Something that was included in the game...
It was in no way whatsoever game-breaking. It didn't cause any crashes or glitches, it just made things easier at low levels. Personally i think it sucks that they changed it, because as perkless said, the Dovahkiin is meant to be the most powerful being in skyrim save the divines and daedric...
I don't have to have a constant connection. If i'm playing and i lose my connection it makes no difference at all, i just have to have the connection to start playing it.. weird
Some of them can be smelted into dwarven metal ingots, some with a very good scrap to ingot ratio and some just 1:1. Some of them however, are just heavy chunks of scrap metal that aren't worth very much.
I think Beth made magic kinda suck in skyrim on purpose because, well, it's skyrim. Home of the nords who live for fighting and drinking and hate magic.
As for the winterhold quests, yeah i think they sucked. Too much fetching and not enough killing, and not a very good reward at all
I usually just go with a Daedric arrow to the kn... err... face.
But when i do enchant weapons, i usually use fire for the extra damage and frost for the slow
Mine does the same thing.. my internet connection is on and off because i just pick up the wi-fi from subway next door :D (don't hate, i'm cheap) and if it's not connected and i try to launch it the pop-up shows up, i hit the button to launch in offline mode, and the pop-up just.. pops back up
I'm on PC and through steam so of courwse i had no choice but to downlead it, but i've had no problems so far with it. I've never had many bug problems though anyway, even when i was still on 360
Lol thats what i have Fus Ro Da for :p in fact, i think i might make a video of that and call it
 "Follower Bowling"
you've just provided me with hours of entertainment :D
I wanna play as one... or anything really. I'm rather bored with the ten. But i prefer dwemer. I've wanted to know what's happened to them since i was 12! Come on Bethesda!!!
I think the reason the entire dwemer race disappeared is that they were all telepathically connected and all shared the common interest of using the heart to become divines. Since the other races aren't like this, i think only the one doing the experiment would disappear
