    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Well... yes and no. I don't disagree with you on this one. However, the Empire did sign a treaty with the Thalmor and part of that treaty involves Thalmor laws which the Empire agreed to uphold. It's a 50/50 chance that Elenwen would be there. Her presence wasn't req'd but, she could make a case...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Exactly. If Jarl B had just gone along with it and his hold had fallen == more lives for Alduin. If there had been no peace treaty == more lives for Alduin. While, I'm not *astonished* that Raijin would post this ;) the point he's making is illogical. The peace treaty stopped the fighting for a...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Although you know Raijin, *her* presence would have been enough to derail any perm peace settlement. Ulfric was on edge right after walking thru the door because he saw her and wanted her gone. For that, I cannot blame him. The damn Thalmor are like a wrecking crew you know... like a home...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

I'm somewhat saddened by this comment. Not really angry per say, just saddened. For all we know, or more spec for all Jarl B knew, they could put an end to the entire Civil War *because* of the Dragon menace at High Hrothgar. You see it as weakness, no my friend, Jarl B did the right thing by...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Oh yeah. On my way out the door here I almost forgot about something. That will never do. Well you don't want to leave anyone out you know? Even better than the energizer bunny ~ I gots 99 problems but you still ain't won!!! XD Farewell friends. "Surrender while you still can."...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

@Mikulus While we're on the subject of Nord nature, here is a Klingon Proverb from Kahless, their greatest spiritual leader: To die while serving the Empire is the hope of every Klingon. Destroying an Empire to win a war is no victory. And ending a battle to save an Empire is no...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Well she didn't agree with him, she was just like, "It's not the Thalmor burning your homes and destroying your lives..." She basically took a shot at Diplomacy, playing the Good Cop so to speak.

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

It's possible you have a point here because obv I'm looking at this thru an errmmm... "different set of eyes". While I've never truly held the Nords in great respect or contempt, I understand that when you take away enough of a man's freedoms, of a man's life, then that is when a man is most...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Yeah he's no Hitler. Although I will admit there are some similarities of concern. However, we'll never truly know for certain how events turned out for the Stormcloaks. Yes, there maybe another whatever but it could be by a totally def design and dev team. I will also say this though, a...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Incorrect. "The incident at Helgen is an example where an exception had to be made - obviously Ulfric's death would have dramatically increased the chance of an Imperial victory and thus harmed our overall position in Skyrim" "A Stormcloak victory is also to be avoided, however, so even...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

The fact they don't care about any of that is just as disturbing as having the Gov ban your rights to Religion. Had Ulfric went about this differently, that would have been one thing. Maybe talk to his High King about it, call another Moot to discuss it and then if he still hit dead ends --->...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

I wouldn't go so far to say Ulfric is evil. Alot of this discussion is about politics and politics sucks everywhere you go. No, Ulfric is an expression of change. One of probably several I would presume going on right now throughout the Empire. The Nords have gotten a little freedom from...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Borrrrrrring. I've heard his hearty speeches and have had all I can stand of Mr Bleeding Heart Ulfric. Yes, his hair is indeed braided and it looks good on him, ok? No one is disputing this. Gen Tully's hair would not look well braided at all, not even if he wore a wig. I don't care about...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Martial Law is different. It says in the beg that Gen Tully is the Military Gov, Skyrim is under Martial Law + Civil War. Empire has every right to summary executions, whatever it takes to restore order. That's what it's all about. My point was Ulfric threw the civilian Gov into a nightmare...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Desperate times. Maven is fair with you as long as you stay out of her way. She has a business to run and business is business. Maven would prob make a very good Jarl, as people would learn to respect her very quickly and the city would benefit from her business experience. I hate to say this...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

All for show. Fact is between killing Toygg and denying the moot Ulfric brought down Skyrim's civilian gov and the Empire was *forced* to declare martial law. Summary executions are permissible under martial law. So no, I don't feel sorry for Ulfric.

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Oh I never said he wasn't a bastard. But Sol Ty from BSG was the same way. I don't think his personality should even be a factor, he's hardened from experience and not just anyone can be an Imperial General.

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

Right now I'm laughing so hard at this post I can barely sit in my chair. You're funny dude. This reminds me of I think exorcism, where someone makes a comment about the Devil mixing lies with truth so it's easier to swallow. And this post is a fine example of such. Furthermore, anyone out...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

lol Why you being so snippy Raijin? You're preaching to the choir here. What... you don't think Ulfric is NOTHING but power and respects those who have it... like the Thalmor. How's Gen Tully a warmonger? He let Whiterun choose whether or not to accept Imperial assistance and even then...

    Imperials or Stormcloaks, what one?

I hear what you're saying Mikulas, but the Thalmor want you to be free, it supports their long term goals in Skyrim. They don't want the Stormcloaks victorious but they fear an Imperial victory even more. Surely the Empire is not so dead after all if the Thalmor fear it coming out the winner...
