Is this possible? I'm not finished with the main quest yet, but i've bought houses in Whiterun, Solitude, and Markarth....most of these Jarl's are incompetent wimps! I gotta believe I could be a better Jarl....is it possible to eventually become a Jarl, or am I limited to a Thane?

Any know how to get this? I'm married & my spouse lives with me in Markarth. I've tried sleeping in that bed overnight but only get the "Well Rested" 10% bonus instead of the 15% Lovers Comfort bonus. Any Ideas?

Obviously iron ore veins are plentiful, but ebony malachite quicksilver moonstone appear scarce, AT BEST. Is there somewhere to find all the ore veins??? Or are they random?
