OOC AKAVIRI the lost continent

Hi! Can you explain to me what this RP will be about, and can you describe the continent? I want to start a new character, but I'm unsure of how I'm going to start him out.

Hi! Can you explain to me what this RP will be about, and can you describe the continent? I want to start a new character, but I'm unsure of how I'm going to start him out.

This rp is a second expedition to Akavir, this time privately funded and operated. Every person has a different reason for going there, whether it's fame and riches or business. We do not have a set storyline as of yet, though Buck, Znow and I are brainstorming. The continent is made up of 4 countries, as of a few centuries ago. The Tang Mo inhabit the Thousand Monkey Isles, and they are monkey people who all look different. They usually act independantly, though they will sometimes congregate under the banner of a king. They are quite whimsical and have great senses of humor. The Tang Mo are based on the Vietnamese and Koreans. I believe they are a form of Valenwoods Imga. Next is Snake Palace, land of the Tsaesci. The Tsaesci have tried to conquer Tamriel multiple times. Some still live there, and one ven became emperor, as he was named heir to the throne by a human emperor. They are historically warlike but have almost no navy. There are reports of weather controlling magic and magic weakening magic that they have mastered. Some groups have been reported as being less warlike and culturally advanced. They are based on the Japanese and I believe them to be another form of Saxheel(Argonians). There are reports of them "eating" the native humans and the indigenous dragons. Some dragons fled to Tamriel. The third race and country is the Ka Po Tun, the Tiger Dragons. I do not remember the name of their country. They are very spiritual and are reported as hating the Tsaesci for killing off the dragons. They practice an ancient shapeshifting magic. Their leader, Tosh Raka, has mastered the magic and can transform into a dragon, their ultimate goal. They are based on the Chinese and I believe them to be an offshoot of the Khajiiti race. Finally, we come to the Kamal, the residents of Snow Hell. In myths they are said to freeze in Winter, though I believe this is creative storytelling and they are just less active, and extremely barbaric. They once united under a king and attacked Tamriel, sacking Windhelm before being driven away. I believe them either to be natives or a group of mutated Falmer that fled their Dwemer masters. They are based on the Mongols. Any questions left? Znow and Buck have some links on the second page of this thread that'll help you out.

The only question I have left (not sure if it has been answered) is where we'll be fighting first? I have to prep myself for so much awesomeness at once you know.

The first few posts will be introductory and on the boat, and then we will land in the Thousand Monkey Isles I believe. They will probably not attack, though some are bandits. After that we should arrive in Snake Palace, where we will meet kingdoms of Tsaesci. We are still debating whether they should be enemies, allies or neutral.

So conquers, I have a question seeing that you are an Akiviri expert. What exactly do the Tsaesci look like? I have heard they were human with the bodies of snakes, but the descriptions all seemed kinda vague and it seems like they wouldn't fit into Tamrielic society very well with that kind of body.

I would like to interact with a few monkey people (should they speak English like every other race magically does) with perhaps a few minor fights before we go to Snake Palace (where I think it'd be awesome to do some fighting {don't want to fight the Dragon King of the Ka'Po'Tun}

We don't know. My personal opinion is that they look alot like Argonians, though they could be snakes with human heads and arms, but I doubt it. Sorry, but very little is known about the Akavir, and much of it is legends and storytelling.

i thought of it like this they dont hate us some dislike us but its up to you what to decide you can be allys with anyone

Yea, I wish there was more about it, but I guess its suposed to be a sort of strange mysterious land. I just can't fathom how a half lizard man could reproduce with a human, as its says in lore that some of the Imperials have Tsaesci bloodlines.... now that I think about it, I'm not shure if I want to know *shudder*

It's said that Argonians and Khajiit can mate with each other and both men and mer. All I know about it is that the kid retains most of the mothers traits, and if an argonian is the mother she lays an egg and if something else is the mother they give birth. All I know about it.

That sounds really imposible. I'm not disagreeing that the lore doesn't say that, but from a simply genetic standpoint khajiits and argoinains shouldn't be able to produce viable offspring with a humanoid race. They are just so biologically diferent, I mean Argonians are reptilian! I guess I could see elves mating with humans though, and we know orcs can thanks to the grey prince.

Khajiits are believed to be descended from Bosmer, and the Argonians are believed to be descended from the original human tribesman of Black Marsh, who either changed into their modern form or mated with the ancient Tsaesci or natives of Black Marsh. Some also say that the mutations were caused by the hist sap. Either way, all the modern races, aside from dragons and the hist trees, are descended from the Ehlnofey.

I guess... it still just seems wierd to me. lol look at me trying to put reality into a fantasy setting, silly me.

Character name: Crengar Stone-blood
Race: Nord
Class: Barbarian Adventurer
Gender: Male
Looks: Very tall, almost seven feet with 350 lbs of thick corded muscles, long black hair and a large, wild beard. Eyes are soft brown. Usually wears furs and leathers along with a horned metal helmet.
Personality: At rest, he can be very pleasant company, hailing other tavern goers as if they were his own kin. He's loyal to those who prove loyal to him, even through adversities such as mer-kind or wizardry that Nords are most known for. As for the civil war, he hasn't chosen a side...but he does despise the Thalmor. He never sells his skills, but doesn't mind helping with desperate situations such as bandit raids.
Combat Prefs: Two handed weapons, light armor. No combat spell proficiencies.
Misc: Weilds a fire enchanted Ebony battleaxe called "Stone-fury". Is an excellent blacksmith and weapon enchanter.
