The Game Store Employee

Hi All, a lot of you know a little bit of my background from my profile but i had to share this lol.

Today my wife drove me to my game stop store i buy all my games from, i bought a game and went to the store employee to check out, he rung up my game and he goes WOW you spent $800 dollars this year( he meant from 1012-1013 already ) and I am like, yea and you want me to quit, we both laughed.

Now I know everyone who works for game stop stores in my area and another 5 other game stop stores within 75 mile radius of where i live at and they all know me very very well, the reason is I buy tons of games ). I am a game addict and a game collector, since 1980's to now i have collected over 3000 games, i do not not call myself a hoarder ROFL I am a collector and i play games, least min 14 hours per day 6 days a week.

Well he said, if i could make you quit, you wouldn't, your addicted to games simple as that, all i said was, hey this is my life, rofl :):):)

It definitely helps to be a regular at the game store. I went and bought a used wireless adapter for my Xbox once and it didn't work...when I tried to exchange it, they didn't have one to exchange it with, and I couldn't afford to get a new one.. I had already had the worst week of my life and was damn near in tears, and the guy (who is usually there when I'm in) wound up exchanging it for a brand new one, discounting the difference for me. I've always sent friends to that particular store cause the staff is fabulous (there's a couple in town), but they gave me a new story to back up my claims of their awesomeness. They seriously rock my face off. <3

Oh yes, I love Game Stop. They go out of there way to help you no matter what, if it's returning a brand new game and played ot and find out 5 mins into the game you hate it, they will exchange it for you for your money back or you pick out another game ( well the Game Stops i go to regularly ) and also any accessories you buy if they don't work or last long they are great about swapping it out for a new or another used one for free.

On scale of 1-10, 10 being best, i give Game Stop a 10.

They always have what i want and if not they look up for another game stop store and if they have one they tell them to hold it for me, or they have it shipped in for me :):):)

Man, I kind of wish that I did typically frequent game stores after hearing all these nice stories. But Steam's just so much more convenient for the PC player. >.>

Aye so true for the PCplayers, game stop does sell PC games but very little of the game stock, they are 90% console/hand held system and games for them. I do agree 100% Steam rules the PC gaming. :):):)

Indeed. Almost anything I could want, up to and including games 10-15 years old that wouldn't have been on store shelves for years, sales all the time, automatic patches, a pretty user-friendly interface, but alas, not quite the same ambiance as a flesh-and-blood gaming store.

Agreed, mrlymric. Game Stop truly does rock my gaming world. My wife and I only frequent one of their stores as their staff is awesomely top-notch. Always friendly and helpful, they've even called other stores for a special-edition game they had mistakenly sold that I had on reserve. Totally their mistake and the manager wasn't afraid to admit it and apologize. Did I throw a tantrum? Nah, it's only a game after all, and waiting another day wasn't gonna kill me. Plus, like I said, that particular manager has always been nice to us and as accomodating as possible. :) I usually go there for game purchases instead of buying on-line.

Aye, they never let me down on anything, they know ahead of time of what type games i like ( they always let me know about those games, when they will come out so i can put money down on the games so i am guaranteed the game and any special stuff that comes with the game when pre-ordering ) soon as i walk into the store, rofl, they know me too well :):):)

With your history of game purchases, I'm shocked they don't roll out the red carpet when you enter and pop some bubbly. lol :D
