What I mean by don't belong is they are out of place.
Does a red dot belong on a full blue background?Maybe it is not harming it but it still is out of place, and ruining the picture.
Thats what I mean by they don't belong.
The other races are ruining the picture? That is why they don't belong. That is actually still racist.
And Nazeem is a good example and I included him because he is still an outlander. He may not be an elf or argonian but STILL he is an outlander.
He's still an out lander? Does it say how long he or his family has lived in Skyrim. Those who have lived in Skyrim for hundreds or even thousands of years, and they suddenly don't belong because of Ulfric Stormcloak. You don't see the issue with that...
And to Anouck's argument - When they are not allowed in the country, what are they doing there in the first place, they could go somewhere else where they are more welcome, like Cyrodill, why didn't they go there?
The Dunmer in Windhelm came to Skyrim nearly two hundred years ago, they were welcomed by the High King and the Stormcloak Jarls... until the rise of Ulfric. All of their problems started happening when Ulfric Stormcloak took power.
Telling a race they can go somewhere else where they will be more welcomed now, even though after nearly two hundred years of working and being members of the community. They're suddenly not welcome by the Stormcloaks and should leave. Yes, completely not racist.
I never said they are not allowed in the country, you said that.(which is wrong, they are allowed, they are just not being liked by the locals).
I just mentioned that in that case, they could have gone somewhere where they might get better treatment.
They were treated just fine, until the rise of Ulfric Stormcloak.
You bring invalid info to the table, nobody is kicking them out of the cities.Except for the Khajiit, nobody else is denied access within the city walls.
You can ask Scouts-Many-Marshes if he's glad to see Ulfric gone, to which he'll respond,
"You have no idea. Did you know it was his decree that forbade the Argonians from living inside the city walls? I hope in his next life, he's reborn as an Argonian forced to live in a slum because of some bigoted Nord dictator. I'm joking, of course, but I'm a lot happier seeing the Empire running things in Windhelm."
And to break the argument that this is a faction problem - even if you win as the Empire, the Khajiit still are not allowed in the city walls, and the other races are still being discriminated and disliked. The only difference is that by doing so you add the Nords to the discriminating group too, because now they can't openly worship their god.
To break the argument, this isn't about the Khajiit. They are allowed in cities, khajiit caravans are not allowed in the cities. Bethesda isn't that stupid for the player who can be khajiit, also a khajiit assassin is walking around Riften during the main quest.
The Stormcloaks plan to enslave the natives of the Reach and the Nords also forbid the worship of their gods.
and I doubt that simply working in the heart of the rebellion is endearing the race that makes up 95-99% of said rebellion. You want something from the leader of the rebellion, do not sit on the sidelines and expect that racial equality or integration to be handed to you for doing nothing.
The Dunmer were treated equally for nearly two hundred years, until Ulfric Stormcloak came to power. Before his open rebellion. There are many Nords not taking part in his rebellion, yet are treated equally. The Dunmer work and provide food, and pay taxes in Windhelm. They should be afforded the same rights as any citizen in Windhelm, to say it is because they aren't fighting and therefor deserve no rights, is perhaps the worst argument you have ever brought into this thread. There are times where I actually question how anyone in their right mind, can sit there trying to justify racial segregation over pointless issues. It isn't about they're not fighting, it is about their race. They're considered substandard beings, they're tolerated due to Ulfric's forefathers letting them into the city.
The Dunmer and Argonians do more for Windhelm than many Nords, yet it is their fault for the racial hatred and segregation.
There is a major difference. Stormcloak supporters see the game as based off of the old days in the middle ages in a way, which is not like the Imperials who see modern day civil Rights that were not even thought of during those times everywhere.
No, the Imperials see what the Empire has done in game and lore. It brought an end to slavery and brought in racial equality where anyone, any race can become something in the Empire. That isn't going by modern day civil rights, that is going by in game and lore information. Stormcloak supporters see whatever they want to see to justify racial segregation. Instead of admitting it is wrong, you try to defend and justify it.
The Civil War is not about facts or racism or any of that garbage, it is about who you feel deserve Skyrim more: The native Nord people or the foreign Imperial politicians.
/dicussion
If you wish to ignore facts or in game issues as garbage. That is your concern. Though I will disagree, as will many others who have played the series, how do you decide who deserves something without any facts? Besthesda puts time into the lore of the games, and the TES universe. To simply deny facts to support your faulty argument can work in your mind, doesn't make it the correct action for others. Instead of just admitting the racial segregation is wrong. You just deny the facts presented to try justify and defend it.
I support the Empire, doesn't mean I like everything the Empire has done. I can admit that, the Empire at times can be very cruel. Why can't Stormcloak supporters just admit they're against the racial segregation and believe it is wrong, it doesn't mean you have to change sides. They just have this silly notion, they must blindly follow everything about their choice in faction.
The Imperials aren't foreign, Skyrim has been part of the Empire for over an era. Is Washing D.C a foreign power in your mind if you live in the United States?
The Nords are not the only race in Skyrim, perhaps once during the First Era when they were the near majority. This is Skyrim in the Fourth Era, where the province is a diverse place full of all different races.
