Thievery. Pickpocketing, breaking in and robbing people while they sleep in the early hours, robbing jarls quarters usually gets me some good loot. Shop strongboxes usually hold 200+ gold. Robbing jewellery stall in markets, jewellery smithing with robbed precious stones. If it ain't screwed...

Thanks for the tip, lol I was trying the shops all over and found nothing which was why I wondered if I was a high enough level. As for adept necromancers, I am yet to test myself as I only have a ring to deflect 10% of magicka. I'll try to locate one and see how it goes.

Thanks, I've started that quest now. Shame the artefacts in his museum/house are not worth much. I killed him for them and did the fastest reload in history when they were worth 75 gold lol

does a character have to be over a certain level to find daedra hearts? a misc quest has opened up and requires me to find a daedra heart, and as my smithing is coming along nicely and want to collect them to forge weapons and armour. level 30 now and never seen a daedra heart lol?

my alchemy is about 16 lol, playing as a thief i tend to break into the alchemy shop and steal every potion i can lay my hands on, selling on the ones i dont use. but the giants toe and bear claws moss potion sounds profitable so thanks for the tip.
