daedra hearts

does a character have to be over a certain level to find daedra hearts? a misc quest has opened up and requires me to find a daedra heart, and as my smithing is coming along nicely and want to collect them to forge weapons and armour. level 30 now and never seen a daedra heart lol?

You can steal one in the companion barracks, the room where kodlak is sitting, it respawns every month

Go to Dawnstar and pick up the Daedric Relic quest from Silus Vesuius at his museum .
It will eventually lead you to the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon.
This shrine resets regularly and will contain 2 to 4 Dremora you can kill for hearts as well as some great loot .
be prepared for a fight and watch out for that Frost Troll who patrols at the bottom of the steps

Mehrunes Dagon, the daedric quest The Walking Nightmare quest contains 2 when inside the alchemy lab, look on the shelves.
Some orc strongholds i believe have one, And like Tyrone said, one in Jorrvaskr.

Also, check in on the Alchemist shops whenever you're in town. They will most likely have one Daedra heart
for sale for around 600 Gold or more. It was when I reached level 21 when they started selling them.

On rare occasions, looting the dead body of adept necromancers yield daedra heart.

Enthir in the College of Wintherhold also always sell 1 or 2. Expensive though, but you can get them at any level, as long as you have the cash. Like all the vendors, his stock reset every 48h.

Thanks, I've started that quest now. Shame the artefacts in his museum/house are not worth much. I killed him for them and did the fastest reload in history when they were worth 75 gold lol

Thanks for the tip, lol I was trying the shops all over and found nothing which was why I wondered if I was a high enough level. As for adept necromancers, I am yet to test myself as I only have a ring to deflect 10% of magicka. I'll try to locate one and see how it goes.
