One could argue that the Nords are to Skyrim what the Batavians (or Batavi) were to the Roman Empire. Of course a rebelling Skyrim could be comparable to the territories briefly held by the Empire prior to the Battle of Teutoburg Forest.
I'm a fan of ancient Rome too, and yes, that plays a...
I am a big fan of Windhelm's market, but I also love Riften's as well. Then again I really like a lot of the different people in the other cities. I guess I really don't have a favorite. That said I cell you that Winterhold is probabl the City I visit the least.
All kidding aside, my non-Argonians, including my current Dragonborn, have all been Nord. Myself, I'm German, Dutch, Irish and English, with a touch off Scottish thrown in way back in the day (my mother was big into genealogy). I actually had ancestors who fought on opposing sides of the...
Most of my Dragonborns have been Argonians. So in those cases definitely not, unless you're counting my last reptilian ancestor from about 256 million years ago. I believe it was the Pelycosaur
I've gone through the game with some fairly heroic Dragonborn, but this time I'm going through with one who is definitely in the Grey area of life. I'm simply doing what I think is fun and will allow me to play the game to it's fullest. This includes Magic, I've healed many with my latest DB...
This Forum does seem to have a lot less trolls than most others I've seen. The old IL2 Sturmovik (greatest flight sim ever! heck I still play it 11 years on) forums over at Ubisoft were a hellish nightmare of uncivilized banter and flame wars.
So last night I took a break from the main Dawngaurd quest to take down a giant that the Jarl of Whiterun had put a bounty on. Serana and I charge in and begin do battle. For some reason a mud crab also decided to attack, which resulted in him be shot like a bullet all the way up to the Throat...
Nirnroot is annoying, but it's a useful sound when looking for the red version in the Blackreach. For me the most annoying sound is the loud crunch of someone eating bread. Seriously, what is up with this stuff? Did someone burn it, is it stale as all heck? Bread shouldn't have a loud crunch.
I'll admit it, I always disenchant the Whiterun gift unless it's something I've already got, which isn't very likely since I always get the thing so early in the game.
2 plantings of Dragon Tongue, yielding eight of the flowers on each harvest
2 Plantings of thistle, yielding 6
4 Plantings of snowberries, yielding 16
Those allow me to make a steady stream of fire and frost potions, raising my alchemy skill cheaply, I make so many that I sell a great deal of...
The Location of Meridia's beacon is random.
I only get annoyed when the game freezes, and by the random Vampire attacks before I've had the chance to finish the main Dawngaurd quest line.
I always get annoyed by this letter. My latest Dragonborn just scored a pair of Dwemer Gauntlets with the smithing perk. The plan was to disenchant them so I could use the enchantment later on, but as I was traveling I got the letter and now I'm torn on what to do.
The blades did play a pretty integral part in Imperial history, so I can see why one would consider adding their stuff to an Imperial Collection. The Blades of today however don't even represent a shadow of their former glory. They're just two old zealots whose usefulness ends the moment the...
