So our groups are pretty much in tandem. The main group will go through a couple encounters, just so those not in the drippy gloom castle aren't left out of the action/have nothing to do.

No, you’re absolutely right. I think his exact phrasing was “a Boulder, roughly rectangular in shape, had been shifted onto one end, and stood nearly five feet tall”. Just easier for me to imagine it more jenga-block-y. I’ll have a reply up shortly.
