OOC (18+) The Hunt

Who are the folks in your sig Drahkma? Captain Thrawn has a really good point there. One that would make any rebel foam at the mouth and ragequit.

I thought Rebels always foamed at the mouth?

Wasn't their whole policy to charge in, guns blazing, and run away when the fighting got tough?

Pretty much. But remember, they were very poorly equipped. Most of their fights had to be short, because, despite what they show in the movies, Stormtroopers were the best of the best. Rebels could hold out for a little while against them, but in a full blown battle? Stormtroopers 9/10 times. Same with space battles. Rebels had Corvette class and frigate class, for the most part. Imperials had ships that were designed to take down ships easily three times that size. Take an ISD versus a re-purposed freighter. Not much of a challenge for the Empire.

Hey, Drahkma, since you're the resident expert on all things Imperial, mind answering a few questions? The end of the Clone Wars and the Civil war were about 18-19 years apart, right? What was the Empire doing during that time? Just sitting around, or securing planets or what?

  • Rebuilding their army.
  • Securing planets.
  • Fighting off earlier rebellions.
  • Closing clone facility on Kamino.
  • Building the first death star.
  • Destroying any remaining droid factories.
  • Chasing down any surviving Jedi after the great jedi purge (Vader's personal job).
I may be wrong about some of that, if so please correct me Drahkma.

Basically what Rakinson said. I think the Emperor foresaw the Rebellion (the official one). That why he switched from Kaminoan clones to Centax 2 and Arkanian Micro. Their troops took only a year to produce. Not as well trained, but they were ready to fight sooner. And, they gave the Empire much needed bodies. Despite being able to to wipe out most of the Jedi, clone units were hit very hard by the war. Alot of battalions were down to half strength or lower by the time of Order 66. Or spread very thin, like the 327th. They were fighting on Saluecami, Kashyyk, and Felucia, around roughly the same time.

Plus, there were opportunists, and Sep. holdouts just waiting for the time to strike, although elite units like the 501st basically saw the early rebels as a joke, or at least until Polis Massa. Doesn't help that, thanks to Tarkin, troops were wasted on Kashyyk, capturing Wookies as slave labour, and fighting Wookie rebels and escaped Jedi at the same time. The Imperials spent about a year just trying to get the Wookies into line, and in the end, they still lost the planet.

hey guys. Hope you like my CC! I've already spoken with Drell and Baneloth, and have an entrance for both of my characters planned. Oh, and colours for them are: Lyssa, and Mar

Name: Lyssa Aethrus

Age: 29

Gender: Female

Race: Imperial

Height: 5'5"

Weight:120 Lbs.

Appearance: Muscled, although still fairly attractive, with long, hazel brown hair, and grey eyes, a small, expressive mouth, and moderate breasts. In order to prevent her hair to get in the way when fighting in a helmet, she has braided it. She has a scar under her right eye, that stretches to the corner of her mouth. She also has a starburst tattoo on her left cheek, which masks another scar, one from her early life.

Allegiance: None, but occasionally allies herself with the Bounty Hunters Guild.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Occupation: Bounty Hunter

Ship: The Hunters Bite a pursuit class assault ship, with three engines, a cargo hold, two cabins, an armoury, and cockpit, with both a pilots seat and co-pilots seat.

Weapons: Long barrelled blaster pistol. Ten shots before reload is needed. Looks like this.

(<- Not a revolver.:p )

Stun grenades, and a twelve inch vibroblade, housed in her right hand gauntlet. Whipcord in her left gauntlet.

Armour:

Personality: Cold and distant except with Mar, her Khajiit partner. Tends to be scathingly sarcastic when worried.

Abilities: Exceptional at restoration magic, which reduces her need to carry around medical supplies. Also uses wards to deflect small amounts of blaster fire, although she can only do this for a few moments, and tends to avoid using her abilities unless in a desperate situation.

Bio:

Early Life: Born and raised on Theren, Lyssa did not lead what one would call a 'luxurious' life. Her mother died at a young age, and her father was a useless drunk. He enjoyed beating the young Lyssa, and as she grew older, the man who called himself her father began to get other ideas. By day, she worked at the docks, watching mercenaries, bounty hunters, and merchants land at the planets' prestigious docks. Every night, she suffered her fathers advances, until one night, she'd had enough. Saving her credits, she bought a powerful poison, and laced one of his many nightly beers with it. The poison caused the mans' nervous system to die, before finally killing the heart. The authorities, didn't suspect the teenage girl, and she continued her job until she could afford transit off planet.

Merc. Life (18-25 years old): After leaving Theren, Lyssa joined a mercenary group known as the Star Wolves. She fought as a member of a squad and was noted for both her efficiency and accuracy. She also had some skill as a medic, using her restoration magic to quickly heal her wounded comrades. However, after several years, the bands was almost entirely destroyed by an Imperial ambush in the Corix system. Lyssa barely escaped, sold her armour that identified her as a member of the Star Wolves, and got into bounty hunting, buying her current armour and helmet at the same time, with the proceeds from her life as a merc.

Bounty Hunting Life (26-current day): After buying her armour, she returned to Theren, and started a life in the seedy underworld of the planet. She took jobs from pretty much anyone, and quickly made a name for herself in the underworld. This brought her skills to the attention of an Imperial lord, Aureus Greganus. The man hired her as a personal assassin and bodyguard. Greganus was also a slaver, particularly Khajiit, that had been captured fighting Imperial troops. One of the lords' slaves escaped, and Lyssa was sent to hunt him down and eliminate him. Instead of killing the Khajiit man, she partnered with him. Unfortunately, Greganus and his troops, wanting to witness his escaped slaves' death. The two new partners were forced to kill Greganus and his men, and fled the planet, in Lyssas' ship, the Hunters Bite.

~~~~~~~~
Name: Mar'Vo'Dermare. Known as Mar.
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Race: Khajiit
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 140 Lbs
Appearance: Unlike most Khajiit, Mar is tall and very muscled due to his years as a guerilla fighter and bounty hunter. His fur is steel grey, and he has gold-yellow eyes, with a black nose, that has a scar going across it. His back is also scarred, although it is not visible, as his fur has grown over the skin.
Allegiance: Lyssa.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Armour: Mandalorian style gold armour, that covers him from head to toe. Underneath, he wears a black bodysuit, and wears fingerless gloves, allowing him to fight with his claws. His helmet is painted black, with a pair of oval eyepieces, tinted red., making him look rather sinister. (think a cross between stormtrooper-Mandalorian helmet)
Weapons: A pair of 12-inch gauntlet blades, in either gauntlet, his claws, an ebony war axe, and that's just his close combat weapons. For long range battles, he utilizes a blaster pistol, and a heavily customized blaster rifle, made to punch through anything up to light vehicle armour.
Personality: Mar is quite, usually polite, and absolutely loyal to Lyssa. Due to his life as a slave, the Khajiit bounty hunter has a searing hatred for slavers, and will go out of his way to kill them.
Bio: Very little is known about Mars' early history (I'll reveal more as the story goes on). However, he is extremely loyal to Lyssa, and views her as a friend, and will gladly fight at her side.
Drell, hopefully you can wrap up Drells' business with the captain, and have Willows' characters meet up with Drell, Skylar, Galen and Kyle.
I'll try to get a post up here later today. Have Skylar enter the ship perhaps? and maybe witness the meet up between Willows characters and Drells.
After you post for Marek and Simus post, ill have Baroth experience the little tour and be on his way through Blacklight.
Hey, Baneloth. When I was reading through the IC, I noticed that there was a 'horror' tag, added. Mind me asking why?
Ah, yes. I'm not going to give it away, since it's going to be a major plot twist. Which reminds me, I should probably add 'mystery' as a tag.
Hope my description of the safehouse was accurate. Kinda went by gut feeling and tried to visualize something everyone would be comfortable with. I liked it.
