A plot to make destruction viable at high levels

what if you use the item duplication glitch on the Dragonborn priest masks, and then use the werewolf transformation/companion trading exploit to equip them without actually equipping them? Would the fortify destruction magic effect stack?

I'll stick with mods. I double the strength and I'm fine. Besides - all those exploits have never worked for me anyway.
