PC Broken Thieves Guild

Unfortunately the thieves guild is broken beyond repair and I need help. When I first joined up, I was never given my thieves guild armor, but could continue with the quests. Not too big a problem as I had better stuff anyways. But now I have completed up to becoming a Nightengale and now I cannot do anything else. I tried collecting the stones of barenziah but now vex will not talk to me to take the stones (I have all of them) or continue the quest. I am having the same difficulty with all other members. Everyone just tells me that they will not speak to me till I have talked to or proven myself to Brynolf. I am plenty pissed as My character is lvl 55 and I am not restarting. I even tried assaulting one of the members and making reparations.

Probably a dumb question... but have you tried talking to Brynolf just to see what he wants you to do? it could be that you do the first quest for him and it's fine - although it would be mega glitchy if that was the case >_<. Be happy you got that far though, I can't get into the Blue Palace without my game crashing EVERY time I try

I have talked to him but all he says is how well the guild is doing and how he likes veing the guild master. thats it. This is especially annoying because I made this character specifically to be a thief character, and at lvl 52 now I am not really willing to start over
