Can't buy land in Falkreath.?

I go up to the Jarl and his servant but none of them give me the option to buy land. I do the Misc quest when they appear but nothing yet.

I did a Dark Brotherhood quest a while back and killed one of the servants.

Could that be why?

It is the only plot of land i can't buy.

Yeah, it's something like if you killed the Housecarl in the Dark Brotherhood quest line, you're an automatic enemy of the Jarl, even if you sided with Stormcloaks and Dengeir is Jarl. It's annoying. The only thing that is keeping me from completing Skyrim.

I'm the head of the darkbrotherhood and i could buy the land. The first thing you need to do for the jarl is a fetch quest and you can only have one gong at a time. So if in your Misc you have a 'fetch' or 'bring' you need to do them first. Mine was i had to take a mammoth tusk to Ysolda before i could start to become thane.
