I know this sounds dramatic but I'm being serious. I installed Community Shaders on a whim after like three years of just running vanilla ENB and the first time I walked out of Helgen and saw the sun actually casting shadows properly I just stopped and looked around for a minute.
Not even talking about the fancy stuff. Just the basic lighting improvements made me notice stuff I'd completely tuned out. The way light comes through the pine trees near Riverwood actually looks like light now instead of a flat texture. Interiors don't feel like they're lit by a single omnidirectional glow anymore.
I get why people were hyped about this when it dropped. I was skeptical because I thought it'd be another one of those things that looks cool in screenshots but tanks your FPS, but my performance is actually fine. Running it with a lighter ENB preset and it's smooth.
Anyone else have that moment where a mod made you actually see the game again instead of just playing through muscle memory?
