Conjuration Archer, can this work?

http://skyrimcalculator.com/#100061 Well that is my projected build, currently working on the conjuration aspect of it. The plan is to have 2 Thralls and kite with my bow. If need be I can assassinate people with sneak shots. I really need help with the remaining 28 perk points. This is on a wood elf by the way.

I had a similar build to this, except my character started off as a regular archer, and I eventually found the spell tome for the Bound Bow and became a Conjuration Archer.

Anyways, if your summoned thrall is attacking an enemy and you're sitting back taking shots at that enemy with a bow, your arrows won't get a sneak bonus, even if you are undetected. So, if you're planning on creating a sneak Conjuration Archer, then I'd save the thralls for when (or if) you're enemies discover you. I hope this helped :)

I see how that could work very well, But use frost atronachs so they could more effectivley slow the enemy down.

Your character will most likely not be able to take alot of damage so take the mage armor perk. Get the rune trap spells for when you have to fall back. Do the quest in Winterhold to get Arniel's shade (talk to Arniel and do his quest, you have to finish the College's quest along with it.) He is good backup. Talk to Angie outside of Falkreath to help level archery. I currently am an archer and.can tell you having multiple bows comes in handy. If each has different enchantments you can maximize your damage output. Also putting perks into smithing for daedric bows is worth it. Better than conjured in the long run.

I disagree with this ^^^ personally. If you are gonna go conjuration Archer, IMO, you will want to go with light armour and for sure the DB questline for that armour. I think you might wanna rethink some of your perks, too. First, on Archery tree, just one crit perk and drop the steady hand, so you can max out the first perk. That increases your damage. I also see you maxed out the first level of sneak. That actually is the opposite of Archery, take maybe two levels, with the DB gear and the muffle perk you won't really be heard/seen much. Additionally, I would change your perks in Conjuration to include the soul trap and banish for the bound weapons. Realistically you won't be using too many alteration spells nor be engaging an too much CQC to need to invest any perk points in alteration.

So IMO yeah you could use that perk run, but you would be wasting alot of perk points the way you currently have it set up.

I would add the right side of the Conjuration Tree too so your spells don't take up as much Magic. Also as Necromis said, Soul Trap is a great perk to have if you're planning on using conjured bow. And I'd max out Overdraw, that will really increase your bow damage. Steady hand isn't that needed, just kind of a nice bonus if you have extra perks.

wow, I haven't heard "kite" since my days in Everquest.

I think any character will struggle without 1H, 2H, or destruction as their primary damage output.

well this is off topic, but wouldn't it be cool if u could summon things with your bow ,like wherever the arrow lands

Oren74, I have run a conjure/archer/sneak. Never once needed a melee weapon or destruction. Only used The conjured bow with mystic, soul trap, banish perks, and illusion spells. My armour skills were nothing because I got hit only by dragons nothing else even noticed me.
