Falmer armour, especially the helmet. Just so evil looking. Made for an orc though, that helmet needs fangs!

I love the Falmer Armor. It's not the best regarding stats. But, you can upgrade it! I also like the Ancient Nord Armor too.

Shame about the Helmet bug. Although the Falmer Helmet reads as heavy armour, it isn't classed as heavy armour so you don't get the Heavy Armour Perks when wearing it. Hopefully this will be fixed.

I prefer plate, or even banded mail. More traditional. The Deadric, orc, dragon, etc are too World of Warcraft'ish / cartoon'ish.

I couldn't disagree more. The Orcish armour looks very realistic to me, in fact I've seen similar armour in museums. It doesn't have shoulder pads you could land a helicopter on, 3 meter long spikes on it or anything, in fact, if you look at the detail you can see how it was put together. I agree with your sentiment though, leave warcraft type armour and weapons to warcraft.
