Spoiler do you think that your character is overpowered? by any chance?

Okay, I need to get this across right now.

I am only a level 41 and my wood elf character is getting extremely overpowered right now.

I am using craft to the best of my ability, so I chose to do glass smithing.
As I did this, I got an armour rating of 79 points of how much protection rating I have.

My enhanced dwarven bow is almost 100 points of savage damage.

and I enchanted my glass armour to 25 points more health.

I think by level 60 or 50, he will be way too overpowered.

So I am doing alot of crafting and creating potions and etc, And that is getting way to high.

I don't want to be way too powerful, because it spoils the crap out of the game.

So is your character way too overpowered? In all armour and one handed perks?
since I have almost all sneak, archery and one handed and smithing up to 100.

Well, I dual wield swords, a Stalhrim sword and miraak sword(which I think the game lowered the damage on my swords cause my Miraak sword did 440 at point, now only 423) totaling a damage of 823. I have an armor rating of 1290, cause I use some nicely upgraded Stalhrim armor, and I have a bow that does 340 damage, enchanted with 45 Ice Damage and 56 Chaos damage. I can two shot a legendary dragon at most. I had to change the difficulty to Master to fight the Ebony Warrior cause if I fight him any lower, I would one shot him. I am overpowered as hell.

If you feel overpowered, change the difficulty to something higher. Works wonders.

yeah man I will try that, It's just because of all my smithing and alchemy agents are making me as powerful as hell.
but what spoils the entire game the most, is becoming one hit wonders for all enemies.for having so many high ratings, perks and higher levels with massive high points of major damage is way too much. Best set to master difficulty.

I got a poison alongside with 39 points of marksman damage, with 39 points of poison damage health. That will rip the hell out of a dragon in one hit.I don't even have light armour perks for my glass armour at all, and I am breaking the overpowered barrier. And that's including my fire enchantments of 15 points of fire damage, in which I would not need that any higher.

This is when you up the difficulty of the game. Play Master and you will slowly lose the OP vibe from your own character in more situations than average. Also, it's well known throughout the Skyrim players that Alchemy and Enchanting are pretty OP as well. You can create your own potions to help seal the deal with your fights, you can buy more pretty cheap and sell the stuff you made for more money, the ingredients are cheap and can be found in the wild for free, as well as how quickly you can level it up for better perks. Then there's the well known Fortify Restoration exploit as well that relies on Enchanting and Alchemy for an unstoppable character. This is fun to play with on some characters that aren't your main so it doesn't ruin the experience of the story but it is also a great comeback against the one hit kill moves some characters and traps have.

Argonians and Bosmer are probably my favorite when it comes down to exploring the wilderness. Bosmer's built in animal allegiance as well as the Argonians water breathing (for river, lakes, and sea exploration). You also have the disease resistance with the two as well, when it comes to exploration with a third I would side up with the Khajiit due to their ability to see well in the dark without any assistance (I find myself wandering around through darkness moreso than the light - dungeons and night time). Whenever I suggest a race to beginners I would suggest Imperials for financial help the race has built in.

I don't understand why people make builds like this if they're going to complain they're overpowered. Why would you smith yourself a ridiculous weapon and armour? Just avoid the crafting loop, problem solved.
I rarely even use smithing, My character mostly wears clothes because I like the look, enchanted with resistance, waterbreathing and utility enchantments, if anything at all.
I can't understand why you would deliberately make yourself ridiculously overpowered? All it does is kill the game for you and make it boring, it's not an achievement to smith 1000000 damage swords and 1 hit everything, a monkey could do it, the only thing it will achieve is making you bored to tears of Skyrim.
I'm not criticizing the op or anyone else but c'mon guys it's pointless doing this, it's the challenge which makes fights interesting.
I'd rather take down the Ebony warrior after multiple re-loads, over an hour of struggling and feel like I've achieved something rather than 1 shotting him with my uber legendary daedric sword of the smithing/enchanting loop.

At the moment, I'm level 19, playing at Adept difficulty, with no Smithing. Only One Handed, Block, Light Armor and Restoration. I actually enjoy getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter by a Frost Troll or a really strong mage (most notably Frost Mages).

A relatively good way to avoid being over powered, is to limit your crafting. Only choose one: Alchemy, Enchanting or Smithing. You could even go as far as avoiding any crafting. I enjoying giving my characters some life. Also limit yourself to specific things in Smithing, Alchemy or Enchanting. For example:

If you do smithing, limit yourself to only Advanced armors. Give your character the inability to craft Heavy Armor.
If you do alchemy, limit yourself to only using fish and flowers for potions etc.
If you do enchanting, limit the type of enchantments you can make.

Sometimes it is harder than that. Being on PC I have certain mods including one that removes the possibility of craf looping so I stopped having this dilemma. But sometimes you try to make complex builds, and choices that requires you to perk certain abilities. And at some point you get to find out that with what you perked, instead of insisting with this Bound Sword you could just craft an enchanted and tampered Daedric Sword and slaughter anything it reaches with it. Yes you can avoid it, of course you can avoid it, but when you always look for more power sometimes it's disturbing. It's different mindsets being in conflict.

On a note. I don't consider my high level characters overpowered if they get torn open here and there.

Just use pick axes, shivs and torches in battle. The miner build!
I've actually done this, with the miner clothes too, the thing is that pickaxe can be deadly, the notched pickaxe and the ancient nordic pickaxe can both be improved by smithing and the ancient one can be enchanted, dual wield enchanted pickaxes :D

I stop using weapons and when I do use them I limit myself to what enchantment it can have and I only apply one to weapons..

I don't use chaos damage anymore so now its usually just a fire or frost enchant..

Right now I mostly use unique weapons without smithing them or if I do I try not to go too high..

Most of my one handers do less then 150 base damage and that's with my perks..

Windshear and Dawnbreaker are my two I'm using now.

Only once have I had an overpowered character, as a vampire/ assassin using illusion magic.
Now I put limitations on myself like only using a long bow with iron arrows or having steel armor for the entire playthrough or never using enchanted gear unless im using nothing but magic.
The difficulty slider is pretty great at setting the game so its not so easy ( until later levels anyway ) in my opinion anyway.

I prefer Dwarven armor and weapons (excluding the helmet) for Emperor Antonius since it's golden and looks great for my Imperial. I also prefer strictly Orcish weapons and armor for Benthos. It's no problem to have heavy armor, it's the Daedric and Dragon armor that is pretty OP. I personally like how they look (Dragonscale over plate) and sometimes will wear them but they lose the charm as opposed to the custom uniforms you get in each faction. The Arch mage's uniform is my favorite robe and the Nightingale and Dark Brotherhood are great uniforms for sneaking around. The limitations are fun too, I like to keep to certain things as well, mostly light armors because I like to move around quicker and for longer distance as opposed to becoming a tank in battle.
