I was wondering if there are missions or something to help Riften. Like fixing the problems with bandits and theifs and the poor people. The Honeyside house looks cool but I dont wana get robbed or jumped everytime I step out of my house lol. Also is the house you can buy there good?

Nope. You can make it worse though. By that I mean you can make it worse for the whole of Skyrim.
Doing all Thieves Guild Missions then the Special Missions afterwards would get the Thieves Guild back to former glory.
It is impossible to get robbed in Riften, even in other holds.
Honeyside is an amazing house, it has an alchemy garden outside plus enchanting laboratory inside. That's pretty much what I look for when it comes to houses.

how do you go about getting the house? or any other holds house? just quests for the jarl and his aid?
