Down with Talos the fake god.

Well at least there seems to be more dead stormcloacks.

Well Talos is actually divine, I remember having to get blood of a Divine in Oblivion and was sent to retrieve Tiber Septim's armor.

Aldmeri Dominion (Military) isn't a foe to dismiss though, they were quite amazing strategically wise during the first year of the Great War.

The Thalmor (Ruling body of the Aldmeri Dominion) are also quite skilled in the strategy of political battle, with the long lives of Elves they can plan easily hundreds of years ahead, they're good at playing the waiting game. They were silent for 70 years when they rose to power. I doubt they truly care about Talos worship, probably using it because men hold it so dear. The idea of it is very powerful, man can reach another state of being, Divine. You must defeat that idea before you can enslave them.

Even a weakened Empire could put up one hell of a fight, the united power of man would be the only thing in the way of complete Thalmor victory. Skyrim is the most important strategical point in the Empire currently, as it connects the Empire together. Thalmor aren't stupid, they know that the Empire could be ready for another war hundreds of years ahead of the Thalmor scheduel, with the Imperial army tied down on the Dominion border, threatening the Dominion held provinces of Valenwood and Elsweyr. They needed to divert the Empire's attention, the Legion is already spread thin along the borders. Perfect time to get the Nords all roused up.

The Gods are all lies, just like the cake!

Smartest thing that ive heard someone realizes whats going on.

Lol , I can't decide which side to side with :p. As much as I hate the Aldmeri Dominion , I hate Talos too. After reading quite a few books about him , I don't think he deserved to be a Divine. So I am neutral here. But hell yeah :

LONG LIVE THE EMPIRE !!!

Long Live The Dominion! Long Live Lord Aerinir! Long Live... THE THALMOR!!!!!!

Now think about this for a second, in lore terms: Aedra and the Daedra are two halves of the same whole. Yin and Yang, Light and Darkness, Good and Evil and so on. Now the Champion from TES 4 (If you play all DLC) becomes the new daedric prince. Now I would think that it would be possible IF Talos in life had proven himself to be one above normal humans and mer (Not because of his Dragon Blood) it is possible that the divines would wish to grant him a seat as a Divine. Of course this is all just my own speculation.

But then , the Divines wouldn't offer a seat just so your above normal people. The Divines are good and Daedra evil , yes. So if you read lore history about Talos , he did not deserve to become a Divine. That's what 'am confused 'bout.

HAHAHA silly little elves your arrogance amuses me,I'll be sure to send you your comrades heads after I'm done ripping them from their shoulder and I'll be sure to throw in an amulet of talos just for you:p

Dude, have you seen the shipping cost for a dozen heads lately? Even after you reopen the East Empire Company, it isn't cheap. The average human head is what? Around 10 lbs? Now, with the Thalmor having obviously thick skulls, to not be able to comprehend their own failings, you're probably looking at a good 20. That adds up, and then you have the fee for cleanup, etc. Scalps or right ears are much more economical. :)

Meh, you don't have to be a god to have your shrines give blessings. Shrines of saints in Morrowind gave blessings. Does that make them gods too?

You don't have to be a god, but you do have to be possessed of some kind of divine power. If Talos was just a man, as the Altmer suggest, then his shrines would do nothing.

Q:Whats the difference between a Thalmor agent and an onion?

A: I might cry a little when I chop up an onion

Q: What do couriers and Talos worshipers have in common?

A: Both are terrible at keeping up a conversation.
