Dual Wield?

I have Sneaky character (Bow for ranged hits and a dagger for melee backstabs)
Now I can equip the dagger in my right hand for the backstab bonus, but still carry around a sword in the left for combat efficiency if needed?

And should I also mess around with the dual wield perks for one-handed combat?

Hmm, it really depends on whether or not you plan on running in and hack slashing everything to bits. In my mind when it comes to my stealthy play, if you cannot get the job done (with most enemies, not bosses) with a bow or dagger, then retreat and let the camp regain its composure and then proceed to ruin their day.

I should add, that I do keep a powerful (for my low level) single handed sword for when I am unable to flee. I do have some perks for increasing power of one handed weapons but most of my perks are in my sneak skill as that provides a ton of bonus damage.

I guess I got the Idea from mercer frey, he had a dagger and a sword in hand and was backstabbing, or if he got caught up in combat could hold his own, sort of like a rogue/assassin i'm trying to go for.
