Dwemer DLC?

dwemerDESTRUCTION

Hey guys whats up. I just wanted your thoughts on what I think would make a good DLC. Now, I'm personally obsessed with the Dwemer. I have a home in Markarth, I explore every Dwemer ruin I can find. Hey, most of my stuff is Dwemer made. I mean, who doesn't want to know why the Dwemer disappeared? I think finding out why they are gone would make a good DLC itself. But I think a better one would be the Dwemer coming back. Think about it, they return and hundreds of years of being gone, and they want their cities back. So, you meet up with their leader. He says that his people could use some help clearing out the Falmer and other creatures from their homes. And maybe after you clear out all the ruins, when you go back to them they are all fixed. Dwemer walk the halls again and everything is restored and rebuilt. There could be fences in the cities selling Dwemer items and there could be followers. New weapons exclusive to the Dwemer. And they would be like any other city. With a leader and a steward, houses to buy, quests to do. I think that if something like this were to come out I would buy it in a heartbeat. But what do you think?

Please respond :D

The general consensus is that the Dwemer returning would be an epic event, more than enough for a DLC. We'd all love to see this.

I also think that this would be awesome DLC! But this could also be a mod. I mean obviously we would all want someone who is really good with the lore of the dwemer and what not and has voice actors for the mod. Personally If someone were to make this a mod I would download it in an instant! I will see if I can find and contact someone who can do this although no promises that I'm going to succeed. If someone that is reading this and can mod, voice act and knows a lot about dwemer lore then please make this a mod! It would be nice if there was some DLC coming for it but no one can be sure that that's going to happen. Unless if Bethesda is making TES 6 then maybe we might see some more about the dwemer or for all we know it could be entirely about the dwemer itself. I also wouldn't mind a little "side" game made mainly about the dwemer, kind of like they made a little extra game called "Redguard".

All in all good idea! Hope to see something about it!

Their have been rumors floating around in regards to the Snow Elves and the Dwemer. Although If they were to make a DLC or an entire game dedicated to them that would be one less mystery in the Elder Scrolls lore that could have many different interpretations. In regards to some suggesting that the Dwemer would be a cataclysmic event for Tamriel, I can not help but wonder what effect Tosh Raka and his army from the continent of Akavir will do when they finally launch their invasion.

The Dwemer returning would be an important event. They would quickly become a major player in Tamriel with their technology and magic.

As a man obsessed with Tolkien's dwarves, this excites me greatly...

Not to offend, but TES dwarves seem to be... better, in every way. They're taller, smarter, more technologically advanced, less crude, and good at magic. The one category in which LotR dwarves might win is morality... TES dwarves are really much different from other fantasty's dwarves; they're dwemer.

Thanks for the heads up...I'm still very new to the Tamriel Lore and really eager to learn, so that's a big help. I'm trying to extend my knowledge as best I can!

However, not to offend in equal measure, but I must admit I like the LotR dwarves of Tolkien much better then! I like a crude, bold, drunken, nordic dwarve! Some mead in the ale house, a good fight and you can keep your magic...that's elvish rubbish!!

I get what you're saying. LotR dwarves are dwarven dwarves and TES dwarves are elven dwarves... dwarf

I dont mean any disrespect towards anyone here but if you are thinking the Dwemer are like the Dwarves in Lord of the Rings i have to say you are mistaken....the Dwemer are actually not the most social race when it comes to multi race communication. Where to start? Well for one if the Dwemer were to come back it most definitely would be an event that would shake the very foundation of Tamriel. The Dwemer would quickly re-establish themselves as one of the most powerful race'. They shun magic but for some odd reason they used magic for a large portion of their work. Some of their creations were powerful enough to challenge even the Gods themselves. The Dwemer were; i guess you could say; one step above the Altmer. When the Snow elves seeked help from the Dwemer there was an un-easy treaty established between the two. The Dwarves enslaved the Snow elves and fed them fungus that blinded them, they also used the snow elves to build their monuments, like the Egyptians and the Jews; except the fungus. The Falmer eventually rebelled and were free but scared for life and lived underground.

Then the events of Red mountain happened. After the Dwemer disappeared the Falmer; with the intention of winning; attacked the Dwemer cities but to their surprise the Dwemer were gone. So thats how things came to be. The disappearance of the Dwemer is a mystery. When they tried to use the magic to become immortal they all suddenly vanished. No evidence of where they went. They possibly DID become immortal but went to a different plane of existence.

So now you know seeing as how they were the reason for the Snow Elves degeneration into the Falmer.....you probably realize that most of the Dwemer are a heartless race.

Tosh Kaka if you did not know i think that book was in Oblivion and that game took place 200 years earlier so odds are it is only fiction

Dwemer DLC would of been nice, but as we know there is little hope for a DLC release.
