Enchanting

What is the easy and fastest way to level up Enchantment Skill, I am on xbox 360 with full patch and Dawngaurd and Dragonborn Dlc, so no glitching or cheating please, ty ?

Oh by the way i am a Stealth/Archer with no magic and no smithing, I only want enchanting skill nothing else, I'm lvl 30 and i'm doing awesome in the game i only died 3 times 2 by stupidity lol and 1 by a very mean type of necromancer or something like that.

Well, if you have a lot of money, you could pay people to train you. Or you could find some enchanted items in chests or merchants and disenchant them to get them, but obviously that takes time.

ok tyvm, i will search for all enchanting trainer locations and start disenchanting stuff and enchanting to help boosts my skill ups :)

I would suggest if you hvae trouble finding enchanted items, go to the Dawnstar chest. They usually have at least 5 enchanted items for me.

I smith Iron daggers to boost my smithing skill. Instead of selling them all, I store them in a chest. I also collect every single soul gem I can find, and store them, as well. After a while, I enchant a bow to soultrap for 1 second on strike, and carry all my empty soulgems with me. Since you are a sneaky character, this will work especially well for you. Whenever my inventory became full, I'd do the usual selling of things, but then I'd also use all my full soulgems on enchanting my iron dagger stockpile. The more valuable the item you enchant, the more of a boost to your skill you will get. I prefer "absorb health." It might take a little while, but eventually you will max out enchanting, as welk as make quite a bit of gold.

You get the largest skill xp gains from actually enchanting items. It doesn't matter what size soul you use to enchant the item or what kind of enchantment you use, i.e. it's a flat skill xp gain.

I buy or loot a weapon enchanted with sould trap early in the game and disenchant it. I enchant a bow with it. It doesn't matter how strong the Soul Trap enchantement is (how long the effect lasts) since the target is going to always be under the effect when you hit it and eventually one of your hits with an arrow will kill it. Because of that I can enchant the weapon with a weak enchantment and lots of charges instead of the other way around.

I buy all petty soul gems that I can find from spell selling traders like court mages and general traders. Then I shoot down deer and elk traveling from one destination to another.

When I get to my destination, if it has an Arcane Enchanter I enchant all the weapons I've looted and sell them for a profit and use some of the proceeds to buy more petty soul gems.

You should also get the Daedric Artifact the Black Star and enchant a melee weapon with soul trap. Recharging an enchanted weapon also gives you Enchanting xp, so if you want to level the skill fast you can use the Soul Trap enchanted weapons all the time and recharge them each time with the Black Star

Also, if you didn't do it already, do the Daedric Quest to get the Black Star (or the other main version) It collects all types of souls from humans and animals.

I do similar to what other posters have said. Usually I always do Smithing first, then enchanting. But I don't stock-pile iron daggers, I stock-pile regular gold rings to enchant later. An easy way to do this is to clear the Bandit Cave behind Whiterun, at the end of it you can find the Alteration spell book "Transmute Ore" or something like that which changes iron ore to silver and silver to gold. This is a great way to level Smithing because at higher levels the iron daggers barely move the exp. bar and you also level up alteration. I would also use a bow with Fiery Soul Trap - The Elder Scrolls Wiki and stock-pile soul gems. I'll usually collect soul gems while using most of my money to fund smithing, and once smithing is finished i start using money to just buy every soul gem I can.

But none of the smithing business matters for you, which will make it harder. I suggest stock-piling up on any and every super light weight item you can find(e.g. rings, amulets, any type of dagger). Get Fiery Soul Trap and start stocking up on materials lol. Good luck >< enchanting takes forever to level up any way you do it, but I find my way to be quite efficient.

I stockpile boots.

Then I pretty much follow Dagmar's suggestions, and enchant those boots with fortify sneak (because that will give me quite a bit of gold with which I can buy more soul gems).

Using Azura's star to fill a weapon enchanted with soul trap after every individual hit by that weapon is a quick way to level your enchanting skill, too.

I think the best way, really, is to get the Fiery Soul Trap. You get the benefits of a Flame Enchantment, and if you use the Black Star, you can recharge all the time, making your Enchantment skill go above the roof in no time.

If you have Soul Trap, I find Dwemer ruins are useful. You get a lot of free Soul gems from the destroyed machines, and then can fill them by killing Falmer.

please excuse my typing my grammer is not to good. All the posts are very helpful, i ws just curious about the enchanting, let me explain, im lvl 30 female wood elf im trained in archery and sneak ( i have all my points in those two perks only ) up to what i can do my last perk in archery is bullseye so im 75/100 in archery and in sneak im 85/100 my last perk in sneak is shadow warrior, rest of my skills have risen up on there own, light armor 51 and lockpicking 66 with my gear i can open master locks. I have a ton of light weighted gear that pushes my archery to 90 % i can 1 shot almost everything, some mobs is 2 shots (not caounting on dragons, they take few shots) i hardly ever break stealth i am 90% with gear stay in stealth when i kill and not come out of sneak mode i can sneak past anything, MY RULE is this if they cannot see me they cannot touch me, atm i only have had 2 deaths and that is from stupidity.not to toot ,my horn but i am doing awesome and having a blast rofl.

I was just curious about enchanting ect,, about magic resists ect,,later down road on any new gear thsat comes my way. My game paln is this, i have completed the companions quests to the point they are just now doing repeat quests so im done with them and i am wearwolf but i dont use the form i keep it so i get 100% resists to all diseases especially the vampirism lol, just finines thieves guild and now master, i comepleted first act of main story quest so i can access dragonborn island when im rdy, my next goal now is dark brother hood till im ,master there then to Dawngaurd, then will make decision when i meet harkon to stay wearwolf, or be vampire lord or niether and just be a regular stealth/archer wood elf with no changing ability forms, once dawn gaurd is done then off to dragonborn then after that then back to main story and cival war. That there is my game plan. Will not take no smithing, no magic skills and no alchemy. I am playing hardcore, so only interested in Enchanting if i ever need it down the road :):):)

btw money wise i'm close to $50,000 and nothing to spend it on atm lol.

The easiest (though not the fastest) is getting magical weapons, including staves, and running them dry to top them off in combat. I will warn you, it's very slow, but tends to follow along with your character's growth throughout the game. Starting with Pettys, I enchant something with Soul Trap (1 sec) and use that to fill the piles of gems you pick up in your adventures. Then, whenever I encounter a table, I quick disenchant, upgrade any items that should be since the last time I leveled it, and go on with my adventure. I also save up Enchanter's potions until the last end-of-build maximum enchantment to make my final set.

Keep an eye out for muffle, as soon as you can disenchant it, and collect footwear, especially unarmored shoes, and boots. You can burn up pettys making those, they don't weigh much, and gain several levels quickly. When you get Waterbreathing, you can do the same thing with Hats. The value of the item also sets the XP earned, that's item quality, and enchantment, so look for Fine, or better. Whenever you get Ebony Weapons, those are worth a lot, and Absorbtion effects add a lot of value/XP to them. This is best for the home stretch, when you're tring to get Extra Effect, and the levels are so far apart. At last, like any skill, I save books for the last 5, or 6 levels, get your follower to pick those up so you don't read them instantly. It's kind of a waste to use them at level 15, then have to work extra hard for those last few, so you only have to earn up to 95...

tyvm for the advice and help, i have everythng covered atm that adds my main 4 skills ( sneak, archery .pickpocket and lockpicking ) to 90% each with all my light weighted gear i carry around, my weight is at 84/375 with all my gear i carry and tons of soul gems i dont sell just in case i decide to take enchanting when i am bored or i want to have absorbtion, magic resists higher ect.. in case i get in a jam if i make any stupid mistakes lol. I will go get black star, i looked up the item it is nice to have and plus when i want to take break from killing i usally find a mob and let it beat on me to raise my light armor skil just in case again i get in a jam by my own stupiity rofl.

I can see where enchanting can come in handy and also doing the smithing of making daggers and then enchanting them does seem the fast route so tjhat is no problem of me doing least that part of smithing, even tho i said i wont do smithing, but i will do that part if i decide to take enchantng.

I also do not take any followrs with me unless its a quest that requires me to bring the quest npc with me, other than that i do everything myself i have no need of help from any follower. to me they are just pain to get in the way of my killing, sure they can carry items for me but i do not run in a problem with stuff i gather i do not pick up any weapons and armor that is under the price of 75 gold, i have close to 50,000 gold atm, so i don't have any problems with money issues and my carry weight is at 375. I can raise that much higher with gear or potions IF i need to, which atm i have no problems.

The enchanting skill does look very cool with endless ways to add all sorts of enchants on weapons and armor and that does spark an interest to me, just not sure it fits my play style of my character that believes in no use of magic, no time for alchemy and smithing due to no knowledge in her family background and is not willing to give in to learning anything that her family background does not believe in BUT i may try to change her roleplay of a stealth archer that there is a USE of enchanting to learn.. I play my rpg games weird, that i do know and my rp is very weird and different rofl.

I know i said this before but please forgive me of my typing errors, my english is terrible due to a disability :):):)

well after a lot of research and thinking of my character, role playing and play style. I am going to bypass learning enchanting and keeping to my play style and background of role playing of not learning any magic ( that is not required for me to use ) i will keep to my true stealth and archery killing ways.

My next character i will try a mage of some type out, so for that said, tyvm everyone for the advice and help :):):)

Sneak, and Archery really doesn't need any Enchantment, at all. I did just fine with that in Haevy Armor, since you only have to sneak within range to shoot them, and this is usually out of hearing. I know most Nords make an exception for Enchantment in their hatred of Magic, but Smithing will probably do you a lot more good, anyway.

I have played several times with no magic at all. They have been some of my most memorable characters.
