Enough of this!

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Y'all have made me totally paranoid about Dawnguard, but I've had it. I've had it a week now and still not uploaded it because I'm trying to get vanilla done. Fah! I'm downloading both tonight and dealing with it. After all, they're only vampires. If y'all want to start killing somewhere, do my family right at the start. I luv 'em, but, sheesh, enough with the gifts and Ysolda's paltry 100 gold each time I visit is hardly worth the marriage. 6 months of fatherhood and marriage is enough already.

What's the worst that can happen - they kill everybody? Whatever. More for me. :)

The attacks in my games haven't been as bad as others make it sound. Also, if someone you really want to keep alive is killed by vampires, just reload from the last save.

Depends on your level for the bad attacks. Though avoid Whiterun and Solitude, sometimes people can be killed far from the gate like middle of city. So no amount of reloads will allow you to save them.

I'm at level 37 with my latest Dragonborn, I just finished "Touching the Sky" and when I shut it off for the night I was in Riften unloading loot for cash. Maybe I've just been really lucky, but so far the only NPC lost in my game has been Daighre, that Breton woman who works in Left Hand Mine.

I am just being very cautions on where I fast travel to and at what times. I have only had two attacks in cities the first was Winterhold and everyone was indoors except for one poor guard. The second was Riften and Mjoll in the middle of arguing with Maven turned and speared the Traveler on her sword. It was epic.

Well, they're uploaded. No vampires so far, although I've been attacked by cultists and been approached to join the Dawnguard. If Dawnguard is anything like the other groups, I'll probably side with the vamps. I could use some advice on the Alduin Questline though. See my other thread please.
