Fiscally speaking, who is the best to marry? A woman with a shop.

I would like the woman I marry to be attractive ans own a shop. I really liked the girl who helps run the shop in Markarth, The Hag's Cure but I hear she just says the same thing over and over and if killed never appears in the hall of the dead.

I like Lydia and the archer of the Companions but I doubt I will be able to amrry her because of this:

So maybe a hottie with a shop? Any suggestions?

PS - I really wish the game asked your sexual preferences before you played so you don't have the wrong sex hitting on you throughout the game.

I married ysolda in whiterun.

Pretty, not a warrior type, and though she doesn't have a shop all spouces sell you stuff after you're married.

Maybe I'm just a sucker for a redhead lol
Sprugly

Hmmm....best woman to marry, well, you want them plump, none of this skinny stuff, it's disgusting. Seriously, girls really need to put down the Cosmo and grab some donuts. Also, In the words of my man Jimmy Soul, if you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife; and you can take that to the bank. Oh, this is about Skyrim? Sorry, wrong thread.:D

All the people in Skyrim you can marry become merchants once you marry them I think. Well, that's if you move them into your house, not sure about what happens if you move into theirs since I've never done that. So it might be better to not marry someone that owns a shop, that way you'll be creating one more merchant to barter with in town. Or at least that's the way I see it.

If you marry Camilla Valerius, invest 500 gold with Lucan Valerius, then kill Lucan, Camilla will have 10,000 gold to barter with. I only tested it once (I didn't wait for her gold to reset) because I felt bad for killing my wife's brother, but it's worth a shot.

Thank god skyrim disagrees, there aren't any fat girls in the whole province. No fat chicks!!!

If you marry someone with a shop and move them to your house, they stop going to their shop. I married the blacksmith in Riften, moved him to my Riften house and he no longer went to his smithing area. He still had a shop in the house but I missed him at his station and was sad to see him move from chair to chair. Afterall, smithing is in his blood, it's all he knows. We moved to his house and he was a happy smithy, back at his station but he only had a single bed so not good for me. I stayed in my Riften house and he stayed in his house. I saw him at his station, collected my gold and listened to his endearments as I went on my way.

Found you, I knew that would p*ss off some superficial, inexperienced twerp ;); how dare you think about people that way :D. Oh my, that almost sounds like trolling even though I despise trolling. Anyway, let's not get off subject, this isn't the topic of the thread, but do tell, which has more scratches, your girl or your car? I'm sure your car is far more important so I'm assuming the answer is your girlfriend. I can accuse the OP of being just like you, caring only about outward beauty...one must to start such a thread in the first place. [/rant]

This only works if you have the proper speechcraft perks, which could take a while to get for some. I still say just marry someone that's not a merchant, I'm telling you, I've found it extremely helpfull to have another merchant added to the world entirely. ;)

I like how you think!! ;)

You know, you can just invest with Lucan, and you get the same benefit, no need to kill the guy lol.
Also to Train, it didn't p*ss me off, I just felt like saying it. My statement clearly got to you though.

agreed that 'fat chicks' are unattractive, but normal women are better than stick women, we can't all look like supermodels you know! personally, i'm a UK size 10/12 (US size 4/6, i think) and i consider myself normal. in oblivion, the women were far too thin, and it honestly does set a bad example and lowers the self esteem of a lot of young girls. i'm sure that all you guys aren't as big and strong and muscly as the men in skyrim, but we don't judge you! just sayin :D

The whole subject gets under my skin and I did jump to conclusions with the OP's statements:

I would like the woman I marry to be attractive ans own a shop...

...So maybe a hottie with a shop?...

So what exactly is considered "hot"? The image that Hollywood shoves down our throats at every chance it gets? I don't find that attractive at all, in fact it's repulsive to me, but those that view women as objects prefer the Hollywood female...

So if I was going to suggest a "hot" female to marry in Skyrim, I'd say there aren't any. :p However, I really like Mjoll in Riften, not bad. If the OP's dead set on someone who already owns a shop, then how about Ghorza gra-Bogal? Now that's a woman! I might just marry her myself!

Camilla Valerius was killed by Lydia along with darn near everyone in Riften. (I was a bad thief at first and she would freak out and kill anyone who called me out on it.
Ysolda is too thin and sickly looking.
I like Lydia, Jordis (but she sounds like a computer) I like Muiri but she has that glitch were she just says the same thing over and over and once killed never appears in the hall of the dead so you can remarry.
Aela is hot but her legs are skinny but her outfit and the fact you can make her wear other outfits is a plus.
I want a human female (nord, redguard, etc.) who isn't mean to put it nicely and busty/curvy is a plus. I may wait it out and see if I can find the Silverhand Leader and marry Aela.

I'm still up for suggestions based on my criteria. I know I sound picky but this is marriage you know. :-)

How did you get Camilla in Riften?

Personally i'd go with Mjoll
