The entire point of roleplay is to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Caleb is not me, I'm not Caleb. His opinions aren't reflective of mine.

The reason it was added was because I wanted to get Caleb noticed by the other players, and I wanted to kill some time. It does add to the story, it shows Caleb's skills in combat, it shows the kind of person he is.

"Hey guys, purple unicorns which fly throughout the cosmos exist and you can't prove me wrong."

And I've already provided solid evidence on my side. The whole purpose of RP is to be someone you're not, and I've played plently of characters whose view blatantly contradict my own. And as Mr.Self Destruct himself said, Caleb was drunk! People do things they normally wouldn't when drunk.

I hate the Stormcloaks' guts, yet I've played several Stormcloaks in RP's.

Is that solid enough for you? Or need I give you more?
