You make a fool of yourself in every way possible at the slightest hint of sarcasm from my end, a single comment about Oblivion sends you off on a ridiculous rant which took up several paragraphs where you make foolish and baseless assumptions about my character and label me as judgmental and arrogant.

Yet here you are dolling out childish insults freely in place of actual facts, amusing how not only you lack reason and press for baseless arguments but you're a hypocrite.

If Ozan wants to stop acting like a self-righteous child with an overbearing ego problem I'd be glad to continue, otherwise I will not be directing you any further.

Hypothetically speaking in RL If my government came up to me and told me that I was no longer allowed to use the internet I would rebel because using the internet is very important to me. I will fight to the death for my total freedom. How can you enjoy life when your freedom was taken from you? It is the primary reason why I'm a Stormcloak supporter. While I may not like what I see in Windhelm regarding to the segregation policy (I honestly want to know why from the man himself, perhaps there's a logical explanation to it) I still think hes right about the war and for Skyrims independence.

If I was guilty of a crime against the Empire I deserve to lose my head... but if I've done nothing wrong, and my death was to be for nothing... then I have a problem. It's evidently clear that the Empire is corrupted, and lost all source of humanity. The Empire doesn't have the right to go around picking people off the street, and executing them without proper cause. apparently the Imperials don't know their own laws.

I think someone didn't get their catnip today!

Why do people still stick around this thread if all they do is insult and bash each other? Why hasn't a mod closed this thread? The complete disregard for respect towards others in this thread is ridiculous and dishearting. This forum has a great community, but allowing this to continue turns it sour.

I stick around because this thread can be interesting at times. Although this isn't the RP section, I do like it when we sometimes RP a bit, and play along like if we were at the WWE. I do agree that when it comes to insulting and disrespecting each other because of a disagreements the thread, once was great, now becomes a battlefield. It becomes not good anymore.

I also wonder why the mods haven't closed this thread a long time ago.

The mods haven't closed it because it doesn't need to be closed. Quite frankly, I'll be damn pissed off if some bickering and intermittent "trolling" gets it shut down. There's a lot of great information here, mixed with passion, and I have enjoyed it even despite the times I've had my share of encounters with people who just wanted to stir the pot. Not everyone's going to get along, not everyone's going to have jiving personalities. And some people's methods of argumentation will be quicker to rouse reaction than others. That doesn't mean we need the thread to be closed. It just means that whoever's breaking rules needs to be dealt with and then we all move on like adults. I'm sorry, but I hardly want to be punished for a small portion of bad behavior that occurs here. I enjoy debating and discussing the material way too much for that.

Why would you be punished because of the thread closing? This thread has almost gone up to 400 pages, is it not possible to go to new threads? And if other threads get closed because people are bashing each other, why does this one get treated differently? Doesn't every thread usually get closed due to trolls?

That's the thing, it has gone into new threads. They pop up from time to time, people get redirected to this one, because it's the longest running and most packed with information and fruitful debate. Not every thread has been closed due to trolling - if that were the case, you'd see far more threads shut down across the forum. One that comes to mind is the "Why do some people think Ulfric Stormcloak is racist" thread. Many people think the OP himself was a troll, but the thread was allowed to go on despite some heated arguing because it's a worthwhile topic. Same for this one. The folks who might more deliberately troll this one would only inevitably follow into a new one. We've seen that happen. My point is we should confront the source for resolution, not shut it all down.

The people who are the troublemakers get dealt with, either through warnings, banning, etc. And the rest of us move on. I just don't see why a thread needs to go away when it's but a few people or even just one who stir up trouble. Most of us in here, as demonstrated through the entirety of the 395 pages, are largely civil.

Ha, largely civil eh? I've read through countless pages of this thread and witnessed the great battle of insults and euphemisms directed towards others. It seems that a lot of you tolerate each other just for the sake of continuing this thread. The great war leaders of the cause that I've seen thus far are Irlta, Mr. Self Destruct, Ozan, Moris, Raijin, and Grogmar Ghrobash! That seems like a hefty lot of people who at times keep it civil. I say rebel against the thread, and take down the corrupted idea of it's topic! Nay topple it to a smoldering ash of ruin!
