Is Dragonrend Unfun?

LotusEater

I brake for blue butterflies
I've been noticing that though I used Dragonrend a lot in the past, I've been using it less and less. It just seems unfun to me anymore and lately I've been not using it at all, preferring to bring them down the old fashioned way by wearing them down until they have to land and then chasing them down.

Opinions?

I know what you mean. Since I upped my level to master and now am encountering Revered dragons, I haven't been using Dragonrend as much. Especially since those fire breathers can also hit you with Drain vitality, whilst on the ground, I like to keep out of their firing line, using buildings and such for cover. I tend to hit them with enough arrows to get health down low, and they are grounded, then swap to my sword and run in for the Kill cam shot.

Strangely, it doesn't 'ruin' the fun for me. Then again I'm using the Deadly Dragons mods on Insane difficulty, it really requires to lock the bastard down as fast as possible and throw everything you have on it.

On a normal point of view, it will depend. I can't really afford trying to hit a flying dragon with a bow/crossbow. Destruction spells however, especially if lightning, I'd be too lazy to Dragonrend.
