Left Side Of The Sneak Tree

Worth It ? Necessary ? Fun ?

I've been thinking Silent Roll and Shadow Warrior might be good, but I'm not exactly sure.

Muffled Movement is the perk that I found very useful as an assassin. But I managed to live without it through the muffle spell.

Lightfoot you may find useful if you want to avoid death from traps like spiked gates. I used to invest on it, but I found it much more exciting to be more vigilant with my surrounding. Having that perk kind of made me a bit more lax when sneaking as I no longer worry about those pressure plates.

As for Silent Roll, it is about preference. I just don't like the delay between performing a silent roll and an assassination move. Though back then I found it cool as it is a ninja move.

Silence for me is too over-powered for my case. I found that it defeated the purpose of my meticulous sneaking experience with such perk. Preference dependent I guess.

Same goes for Shadow Warrior. You can be a good assassin without it. This is where preference takes over.

In all, trust your preference for your build, nothing wrong in investing in them as they are buffs for the assassin.

On the Left Hand side I went as far as Light Foot, on the Right Hand side I went as far as Deadly Aim. As I found that any of the others aren't worth the perks & I can spend them elsewhere.

Depends if you are going with illusion or not.

If you are going with illusion, then Muffle spell is the better than Muffle movement and has the same effect as Silence. Invisibility spell makes Silent Roll and Shadow warrior obsolete in my point of view.

Now, if you don't go with the illusion path, You can still get muffle ENCHANTMENT and Invisibility potions.

So for me, the left side of the tree never has been useful.

It depends on how you want to role play your character. From a functionality point of view the silent movement related perk benefits can easily be duplicated with boots with the generic Muffle enchantment, the Muffle spell with Quiet Casting perk, or the Nightingale boots. However if you want to roleplay your character as being naturally adept at stealth then you may want to take the perks in lieu of the other options for the same effect.

Critical Charge. You can land a sprinting power attack (Interrupts the roll) to backstab someone across the room. Full Sneak Multiplier, doubled for a Power Attack, Automatic Crit, and Stagger. Pretty much how I pulled off a 2H assassin.
