Does anybody else feel like the main quest was the worst part of the game? It was really disappointing for me because even though the main quest is only ~20 hrs or so long it was the thing i was most excited for in this game.
Things i disliked about the main questline:
-Feeling of being a "special" character with a destiny to destroy Alduin, i would much rather have been a normal person who perhaps became a master of the voice another way and decided to stand against alduin.
-Annoying random dragons. Sucks when im on my way to a quest, still far away from the area then BOOM get attacked by an dragon who kills my horse and leaves me stranded and over encumbered from looting the bones and scales.
-The lack of urgency against the dragon menace, for the greatest threat to the whole living and undead world alduin sure didn't do much in the 256 in-game days played by my character before the main story was finished. Maybe if i was being attacked by mobs of 4-5 dragons at a time or by ultra powerful resurrected dragons i would have had more of an interest in actually doing the main quest.
-Easy final boss, yes alduin was too easy, maybe it was because i was level 50 by the time i fought him and maybe i was only on expert, but i was expecting the "world eater" to dent my Armour a little.
-The ending was such an anticlimax, i actually stood on the throat of the world for 5 minutes waiting for one of the flying dragons to initiate another conversation because i couldn't actually believe i had finished the story.
-The strange way nobody knows who i am even after i saved all of skyrim from alduin. Apart from the occasional guard there was no big celebration of the victory which left me slightly dissapointed.
The main quest isnt bad by any means but i felt like it was the worst part of the game.
Anybody else agree with me/feel this way?
