Starting a new character and i'm in a dilemma! I dont know whether to play as an archer or a 2handed warhammer wielder.

I am playing on master difficulty.

Please post:

a) What is better for master.
b) what is more fun.

I am no expert but from my small time messing with 2-handers you really need to have the timing down to really be good with the DPS..I really suck at 2handers so I stick with 1.

Now I am really starting to dig archery cause I can kill from a distance and its nice to get some shots off before melee combat.

Theres nothing like shooting an arrow in the back of a bandits head as he is talking about playing cards in some bar blah blah..

Archery is easier, if that's what you mean by better. Especially if you sneak, since you will able to get kills without taking any damage - which won't happen too often, if at all, when you go charging in with a warhammer.

Can't answer which is more fun, just try both and see what you like. Or play a sneaky archer who pulls out a warhammer when he's discovered.

Both, they aren't mutually exclusive (Ok, you can't do both at once) and they compliment each other. Light Armor, the mobility will be invaluable on Master. Smithing, and possibly Sneak for Deadly Aim. You only have to get within Range, and crouch just long enough to take the shot. By the time they close, you'll be waiting with the hammer to finish them off.
