Nightingale armour rating cap?

So, is there any cap beyond which the NA can't be upgraded? Found some old threads stating the cap was 567, but either they were wrong from the beginning, or this has changed with later patches, as my current rating for the NA is 723, despite my light armour skill being 80 something. Albeit, I have the Lord stone activated. I really like the look of this armour and I do wanna keep it for the rest of the game, but I'm wondering if it's gonna hold up later in the game, I'm only lever 55 now..

As I understand it, no matter what the stats show on your armor, the actual cap is at 567 for all armor types.

Well, to be fair, it would make sense. I have it now rated at almost 1000, and it's almost like cheating. I play on legendary mode and there very little foes who can really be a threat. Ancient dragons are a pain in the arse, though. Makes me wonder if there's any point in wearing heavy armour, except if one prefers the looks of it.
