Hi I am starting a new build that I always wanted, but I need some help.

1. Which perks?

2. Should I use Illusion with a bow or a dagger/sword or both?

3. Where should I spend my points into, Magicka or Stamina or Health?

4. Should I use the Nightingale Blade to match my Nightingale Armor and not take the Assassin's Blade perk or should use a dagger? This has gotten me stumped for a long time.

5. Should I take the Frost Enchanting perk since the Nightingale Bow has a Frost Enchantment?

If you can at least answer one of these questions I will be grateful!

The Nightingale Bow is my favorite weapon in the game, so if I was going to be a Nightingale, I'd primarily use archery, and dual-wield daggers as back-up, with a side of Restoration magic for healing. To answer your questions:

1. In the Archery tree, all five Overdraws, Eagle Eye, both Steady Hands, and Power Shot. In the Sneak tree, all five Stealths, Backstab, Deadly Aim, and Assassin's Blade. In the One-Handed tree, all five Armsmans, both Dual Flurries, Dual Savagery, Fighting Stance, and Savage Strike. In the Light Armor tree, at least one Agile Defender, Custom Fit, and Matching Set (only if you're going to be wearing all Nightingale armor, all the time). And finally, in the Restoration tree, Novice Restoration, Apprentice Restoration, Regeneration, and Respite. This should put you at level 34.

2. I probably wouldn't. Calm spells are helpful for pure archers, as they give you a chance to get out of melee battle and hide again, but if you are going to dual-wield daggers (or swords) when the battle goes melee, you won't need them.

3. Mainly health and stamina, but put at least two into magicka so that, once you have the Apprentice Restoration perk and Fast Healing costs half, you'll be able to cast three Fast Healing spells before your magicka runs out.

4. I'd go with daggers, since they do double duty for you with the right perks—massive damage with sneak attacks, and pretty good damage in melee battle when dual-wielding.

5. With high archery skill and the proper archery and sneak perks, the Nightingale Bow will already be so powerful that you won't need this perk.

Sweet, thanks you answered my question really well! But wouldn't I need Illusion since the Nightingale uses Illusion and my head armor piece enchantment would be good for nothing? And is it possible to put the Nightingale Blade in the left hand and a dagger in the right and be a good assassin?

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this, should I power level sneak to like 60 (In the beginning sneak attacking Ralof) and Archery to 50 (Faendal) ?

It would be a wasted enchantment, yes, but if you don't need it, you don't need it. Now, if you plan to play this character longer, say to level 50, you could very well go into Illusion since you'll have those extra perks to spend. It depends on what you want to use as your primary combat strategy, really. Silently casting Frenzy into a group of enemies can be helpful, but doing it frequently will rob you of the archery and/or one-handed skill that you would have earned if you'd killed all those enemies yourself. And Invisibility would be a great spell for a Nightingale, but you need an Illusion skill level of 75 to learn that spell, which means you'll need to consistently use Illusion as you play. Basically, using too many skills will put all of your skills at a disadvantage.

And is it possible to put the Nightingale Blade in the left hand and a dagger in the right and be a good assassin?

Oh yeah, that would work. I just like the ninja speed of dual-wielding daggers, which fits in well with the Nightingale build, I think. :D Plus doing a power attack with dual daggers while sneaking will yield you a ridiculous amount of damage, which could save your life against late-level bosses.

Up to you. I personally don't like to power level anything; it takes away both the challenge and the fun of the game for me.

Hi, me again and I just wanted to ask how should I start? Like what should I do, not saying for the whole entire gameplay but like for the first 10 minutes I get lost a little.

Make you way to Riften after you escape Helgen. That's what I'd do. Hope this helps.

Why head to Riften first????

Riften is where the Thieves Guild is. During that quest, you become a Nightingale. If I wanted to be a Nightingale, that's where I'd head first. I'm not saying you can't go anywhere else first, but for me it works.

Okay. Here is my build for a pure Nightingale.

1. Remember, you are a thief, not an assassin. Use your Nightingale Sword (or any other, though I prefer matched sets). Completely ignore Assassin's blade. Take a sword since they deal more damage than daggers, and you can benefit off the Nightingale Gloves.

2. Bows are your friends. If you're stealing from a big place, always keep your bow out(unless you are told not to kill. And you can hold down the roll button and you constantly roll.

3. Yes, take the spells like courage and fear. It'll help with escapes. Also, invisibility and muffle are great spells to use alongside fear and frenzy.

I would say that the invisibility spell would be good if you are using illusion spell craft.

also a bow is the best kind of weapon for a nightingale assassin.because the bow can take out targets without them detecting you, unless your closer up you can hit them with a dagger or sword backstab.

learn the elemental fury shout
enchant one of your swords and let the other remain unenchanted
raise one handed and learn all dual weild perks
this will make you invincible in melee

for bow raise archery and sneak
raise alchemy if you can for more power

dont forget to raise light armour

Awesome, but I would space out the game play. Like do The Main quest, The Civil War and a Major Side quest (ex: Thieves Guild). It keeps the game fresh and increases replay value. I did everything on my first character and now it's hard to find something fresh about the game.
