OOC Reforging an Empire

I posted once more! (finally) Sorry it took me so long, I have been busy with finals and stuff and things. Also I said in my post Simus was tailing behind the others, I figured thats were he was since you didn't post him running ahead or anything :D

Haha, yeah Meben, that's where Simus is so good for you for writing that for me :D. Now I know I said I'd post when Dabs did and I know that was two days ago but I've...kinda started writing my long-comming fan-fic and Docta said I can't RP until I finish the first chapter because it was good or something. I'll post when I get done with it and I hope you guys decide to read it. In the meantime, Merry Christmas everyone!

Greetings, everyone! I've been out of this for awhile, but now that work, family and the holidays have all calmed down, I'm back and ready to go. I felt it was high time to explain Hale's absence, so here's a revised character card detailing where my (and hopefully yours!) favorite Skyrim ranger has been up to the last few months! Also, for those of you who don't know/remember/recognize me, here's an introduction :D

Name: Hale Loneshadow

Race: Human male

Age: 87 (Looks like he's in his late twenties; explanation further down)

Mini-Backstory: A Ranger of Kynareth and the Sacred Druidic Guardian of all the Goodly Races, Hale is blessed with long life to rival that of the elves. His sword, Glamring, is blessed with two enchantments: one, of Divinity, to better battle the legions of the damned, demons, and devils, the other, one of Ice, to dispel fire both natural and magical. His bow, Toril, is blessed with a lightning enchantment, to give each arrow fired an added kick! His ever-faithful Grey-wolf companion, Mael, is a being of the Astral plane, summoned by calling his name though an small statuette-like amulet in the shape of a wolf worn around Hale's neck.

Story (if you want to know his full backstory, let me know, otherwise this is just a "where has he been" type of backstory as I just mentioned!)

During his adventures with Simus, MabFaerie, Arillious, and the others, there was a sudden rift in both space and time: one night, while the group was resting in the Stormcloak camp, Hale was awoken by a low humming sound outside his makeshift tent in the woods. Quietly and quickly sneaking off to further investigate, the Ranger of Skyrim found himself staring at what appeared to be a extra dimensional hole! Sensing danger immediately behind him, Hale spun around to be confronted by an enemy he had thought to be dead twenty years ago: Garumn the Mad! A fierce and powerful wizard, Garumn was an enemy in possession of a powerful, dangerous artifact: the Amulet of Mrr'ak. This amulet was imbued with dweomers by the Daedra lord Mehrunes Dagon, and had the possibility to create all types of chaos, from summoning pit fiends in service to the Lord, and by extension the Amulet's wielder, to creating the very same type of portal that Hale was at this moment staring at!

"You! I would ask how you are alive, but only someone as cruel and deceiving as you could possibly survive a decapitation and torching of your corpse!" exclaimed Loneshadow, doing his best to keep his calm, despite being shook by the sudden, surprising arrival of his old enemy.

"HAH! HAHA! HAHEHEHA," cackled the mad (but powerful nonetheless) wizard, "I have friends in very, VERY, LOW places ranger! As you will SOON have the pleasure of meeting!"

Suddenly realizing that this was not a portal to bring something out of, but to rather pull him in, Hale sprang forward as agilely and as quickly as he could, swinging his sword in a vicious downward chop that would have cleaved Garumn's body in two. Unfortunately, the dweomers were already in place, and in a blink of a Khajiit's eye, the goodly Ranger was pulled into none other than...the Nine Hells: the realm of Daedra, evil gods, devils, fiends, succubi and inccubi, malignant spirits, demons of all sorts, and devilry both new and old.

Standing up, the experienced and usually fearless Ranger felt a sense of dread as he drew his sword and summoned his nearly 700 pound grey wolf companion, Mael, from his home in the Astral plane. A demonic grown from his right had the Ranger spinning around, whipping his enchanted, sacred sword Glamring around as he did, cloak spinning in the otherwordly night. With a fierce howl, the loyal Mael lept to block the flank of his beloved friend.

And so they fought.

*Unknown amount of time later - Many Years in Hell Time*

With a flash of white light and a thunderous BANG, the bloodied, newly scarred Ranger and his loyal grey wolf, Mael, inexplicably awoke in a field of...wood? No...no thought the both mentally and physically distraught Hale. "A Wheel...a Wheel of Time..has brought me here," he realized, as he sat up and took in his surroundings: for it was not a field of broken wood, but rather a cluster of trees that had been felled (apparently magically, for what else could cause it on such a mass scale?), their ends all pointing to where he had awoken. This was the work of a divine being. With a shudder, Loneshadow came to the conclusion that he had literally been pulled out of the Nine Hells themselves! By what must have been an Aevanigar, a powerful, angelic being that walked both the realms of men and gods.

Pulling himself up, and patting Mael on his head then dispelling his old friend to recover in the Astral plane (for they had both been through the largest of ordeals the past...how many months? Hale wondered), the Ranger walked towards what he hoped to be the town of Whiterun...

Sounds like somebody's read Wheel of Time. I've never read those books but I've always wanted to.

Haha I have read the first couple, they were superb! And if you know me, then you know I looove putting references in my writings/posts/stuff haha. Psh, basically this whole explanatory backstory is based upon a part in the Pirate King...one of my favorite Drizzt novels :-)

Anyways, I'm PUMPED to get back into the swing of things here! I'm excited as hell for Hale to re-meet some old friends and...rivals, shall we say :P as well as introduce those who haven't yet met our ranger friend!

Yeah, me too. You should go back to The Arena Games and be a sex predi...uh I mean RP a bit with Alice. Nadir's been gone for several weeks and Alice and Dreven have been sort of staring at each other since then.
