Remodeling question

My stupid question of the day. but if I do the remodel back to the main little building. do I have to take my stuff out first or will it be ok?

I don't mind having to move it all and if my searching is correct the out side chest is a safe to store chest right?

Lastly while I do the remodel will I need to move the hubby and kids to a different house?

You can only remodel the entrance into a better version. The room will be reset. You can't reset what you've already built sorry!
