Private Rise of the Fallen I [FALL]

Rhyonir sits on a bench outside of the house that he was just in, watching the Forsworn talk. "Hey, Breton! You know the Forsworn cannot be trusted. Just watch how they speak together, they're planning something, and what ever it is, the drawing they're looking for must have something to do with it. We need to find the drawing, and before we show the Forsworn, we have to inspect it, and see if it gives us any idea on what they're up to," Rhyonir says.

Rhyonir reaches into his pocket and pulls out a red apple and asks, "Do you want this apple Breton? I know it's not really that great, but it's something and you look like you need something to eat after falling down a hole." "You know, Skyrim's a bad place to live in these times. Never trust bandits, they pretend to want to split the treasure evenly, but the leader and his marauders always get the top cut. I was making barely two-hundred Septims a week. Until I killed a fellow Bandit, it wasn't an accident though, that's for sure. I stabbed him directly in the heart, stole all his money, which was only twelve-hundred Septims, but it was worth it at the time," explains Rhyonir with a sigh. "Also, how did you know my name? I must be more popular than I thought," laughed Rhyonir.

Rhyonirput his attention back onto the Forsworn, and watch the brutality, then harm that one being could do to another. Rhyonir walked back towards the Dead Man's Drink. "Breton, if you need me, you know where I'll be," said Rhyonir as he walked into the inn.

"Valga, I'll take two bottles of Nord Mead, it's always the finest," said Rhyonir. "That will be twenty-four Septims," replied Valga. "Twenty-four! What a rip off, it's fifteen in Solitude, but when you're thirsty, you're thirsty," exclaimed Rhyonir. "I don't make the prices, well I do actually," laughed Valga. Rhyonir laughed sarcastically as he handed over thirty-four Septims. "Staying another day? Well the room is how you left it, a mess," replied Valga.

OOC: Valga is a NPC in Skyrim (Skyrim:Valga Vinicia - UESPWiki)

Ondur walked down the dusty road, his head deep in thought. "What have I been dropped into?" Ondur kept questioning himself.
He heard a noise and instinctively clicked his fingers to start a flame.
"Easy, easy calm down." it was only Eraundur, the stagecoach driver. "Need a ride?" he quizzed.
"Oh yes, thank you!" replied Ondur.
"Where do you want to go?" "Shor's Stone." "That place?" Eraundr quizzed, as if an Altmer didn't belong there.
"Yes" replied Ondur tiredly. He climbed into the coach, pulled his hood over his eyes and slept.

Rhyonir closes the door behind him, and pulls out a book from one of the drawers, Short History of Morrowind. He sits there intently staring at the cover of the book. He opens the drawer back up and shuts the book away. "I have to return to Solitude, soon," Rhyonir thought to himself. He can hear outside of his room Delacourt singing Age of Aggression, "We drink to our youth, to days come and gone. For the age of aggression is just about done. We'll drive out the Stormcloaks and restore what we own. With our blood and our steel we'll take back our home." "Pitiful Empire and Stormcloaks, they're both wastes of time, and they can only be a distraction in stopping the Forsworn," Rhyonir thinks to himself.

Rhyonir hears the crashing of the bard's instrument, but isn't shaken. He peeks out of his door to three Forsworn threatening Valga for food. "Forsworn, take this," shouts Rhyonir. He hands each of the Forsworn two loaves of bread and the two bottles of Nord Mead he had bought. "Make sure it lasts now, we don't want you dying," says Rhyonir sarcastically. "Thank you Rhyonir, have a bottle of Alto Wine for free, you deserve it," says Valga. "Thank you, but don't expect my help every time the Forsworn cause trouble, they always have caused trouble and always will, it's just the way they live," sighs Rhyonir.

Rhyonir opens the bottle of Alto Wine as he walks into his room, as he closes the door he drops the empty bottle and it smashes as it hits the ground. He lays on the bed trying to clear his head, and falls asleep.

OOC: I won't be posting for the next 8-10 hours as I said in the main OOC thread. My character will be asleep until I return. Also you pronounce Rhyonir Rai-oh-nai're (like how you pronounce the 're in you're)

Ondur woke up to sunlight streaming through his hood. His stretched stiffly and jumped down off the cart.
"Thank you!" Ondur said gratefully. He looked around the residents were huddled around a campfire which provided the only light-source against the dark sky. He went over to them and asked "Are any of you miners?" he asked politely. They all turned to look at him as if he was stupid.

"Cornelius Ductat has asked all miners of Shor's Stone to go to Falkreath where they will be paid to mine an non-excavated place. Miners should not ask questions but will be paid cash in hand. Anyone who wants to go to Falkreath get into the carriage. That is all." he saw most of the miners stand up to get on the coach. "We leave tomorrow!" Ondur shouted as he turned towards the tavern.

Rhyonir's words kept repeating in Cornelius' head. He remembered when he had a run in with some Forsworn once. Nasty barbarians. But they knew about something, and they wanted answers. Cornelius was agreeing with what Rhyonir said. If the town had what they wanted, they could use it to their benefit. But what struck Cornelius the most, was learning that Rhyonir had been with bandits once.

Cornelius went over to Lod's house to pick up some leather strips. He took out a few septims and bought a pair. He then walked back to Odvan and carefully tied the strips around the Forsworn's neck. Cornelius had shaped a perfect leach. It might have been a bit barbaric to do so, but Cornelius was going to make sure that nothing would go wrong. He then walked over to Dead Man's Drink, Odvan following him everywhere, and entered. It was horrible. Drunken Forsworn were yelling barbaric shouts. The few of the citizens who were in the inn felt threatened and hid themselves in the dark. But Cornelius reminded himself that after they would find these "drawings" they could kick these Forsworn out for good.

Rhyonir slowly got out of his bead, his head still pound, an as he opens the door, he is shocked to see drunk Forsworn. "Breton, don't worry. When they're drunk they're most likely to spill information then. So why not get your slave Forsworn drunk and ask him about the drawings?" asks Rhyonir as he exits the Dead Man's Drink.

Rhyonir walked passed the Forsworn encampment inside of Falkreath, they had already set up five tents. Rhyonir notices the Forsworn Leader drop a Forsword corpse outside of Falkreath. Rhyonir walks outside of Falkreath and notices a strange door way. "My god, is this what I've been searching for, the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, but I swear they were in Dawnstar, strange," Rhyonir thought.

Rhyonir sat down on a rock, and he was approached by Bandits, "Do you know where Riften might be sir?" asked one of the Bandits towards Rhyonir. "It's the most southeastern city in Skyrim, I assume you're going there for the theives guild,"replied Rhyonir. Rhyonir walked back towards Falkreath, but was stoped outside of the city limits by a guard, "I am sorry, but while Falkreath has it's Forsworn guests, we cannot allow anyone else inside the city," said the guard. "Oh, but what if I were to tell you I'm here to help the Forsworn, mainly to help them get out of your city, their death may be a while coming,"

The Forsworn has left the inn, probably back to their encampment inside the city to further plan the destruction of Falkreath and Skyrim.

Ondur looked at his band of miners they were a mix-matched group: 1 breton, 1 nord, 1 orc and 2 bosmers.
They all looked out of place at Falkreath and the residents of Falkreath knew it.
They all looked curiously at the miners, out of windows, shops and passing by.
"OK!" "Follow me!" Ondur commanded as he led them to the house.
"I'll direct you to Cornelius and after you will start work immediately."
He saw Odvan and raised a hand of greeting.
The prisoner looked happy to see a friendly face and raced over to him. "Hello friend!" Ondur said warmly.
The band went over to Dead Man's Drink and Ondur saw Cornelius hunched over a table.
He walked over to the Breton "Here is the miners you wanted and if you need me I'll be in my room." the Altmer said tiredly as he walked to his room, he went to his bed and although the Inn was noisy and full of hubbub his eyes closed soon after.

Cornelius took off the leach from Odvan. "Go with him, I know you want to" he reassured him. Odvan went over to Ondur. He didn't say a word, he only followed him. Cornelius exited the inn and motioned the mienrs to follow him. It smelled differently outside. Cornelius was used to smelling the fresh air, and feel its soft breeze caress his hair. But when he sniffed the air, he noticed an awful stench in the air. Cornelius looked at the Forsworn encampment. This was turning into a real problem, Falkreath was slowly dying from the inside, and nobody knew it.

Cornelius led the five miners to Rhyonir's house. "This might seem absurd, but I need you guys to go down that hole, don't worry, it's completely safe" he explained after jumping into the hole himself. The other miners started discussing whether this was a good idea or not, but eventually, they all jumped into the hole dubiously. They were in the dark hidden room, but Cornelius was prepared. Each miner had brought a pickaxe and some food to last a few days, while Cornelius brought a few candles to light the place up. After illuminating the room, there wasn't much to see. It was empty. He instructed the miners to dig up the collapsed tunnel. Cornelius had kept this operation a secret so the Forsworn wouldn't get involved just yet. The miners started to dig up the tunnel. They were finally going to uncover what was hidden.

Rhyonir walked back to the house with the hole, as he approached he heard the sounds of pickaxes. Rhyonir bursted in and locked the door behind him. "Are you insane! I can hear the miners from outside! How long do you think this can last before the Forsworn find out, they walk past this house, they will hear something, and they know this house is where the Drawings will be, it's only a matter of hours before they find out, Breton get atleast two to three of the miners out of the hole for now, they make too much noise in groups. If there are only two down there we can minimize sound. We also need to do something about this hole, it's a hazard," exclaimed Rhyonir. "I will go find some wood to place ontop, to make a sort of trap door," Rhyonir said.

Rhyonir walked outside of the house, and calmly walked over to the blacksmith, Lod. "Lod, I would like to enquire if I could get some wood and some Wolf Hides," Rhyonir said. "Aye, I do. It's over there in the pile of junk, just take what you need and come back to me, if you have an offer I'll think about it, as I think about the price," replied Lod as he pointed to the pile. Rhyonir walked over to the pile and pulled out a thin piece of wood, he grabbed another the same size and picked up five Wolf Hides. "I'll give you one-hundred and fifty Septims," said Rhyonir as he pulled out his coin pouch. "Well I have no arguments, it's yours for one-hundred and fifty Septims," replied Lod as he took the Septims.

Rhyonir carried the Wolf Hides ontop of the wooden planks, he walked into the house again and dropped everything on the floor. He locked the door and felt someone pulling on the door, he unlocks the door and opens it cautiously, it was Lod. "You left one of the Wolf Hides back at the forge," said Lod nervously. Rhyonir laughed with a sigh as he took the Wolf Hide from Lod. Rhyonir locks the door again and yells to Cornelius, "Breton, I'm going to cover up the hole with two planks and some Wolf Hides, I can see you have some light down there, I will be here so just shout out to me if you want anything." Rhyonir sat back on a chair as the finished covering the hole, and started eating a Red Apple that was inside of his armour. "I wonder how old this is," Rhyonir thought to himself as he took the second bite.

Cornelius started thinking. Rhyonir had a point. "Okay I'm going to need the bosmers, and the nord to come with me" Cornelius instructed. The three men sighed and stopped their work. There were only two people digging the hole now. Cornelius decided to take advantage of the three not mining. The four of them climbed up the hole and swiped away the dust on them. He took the firewood and leather and put them on the ground. "Hey elf! You want to help us make the trapdoor?" He called out to Rhyonir. Cornelius took one of the backpacks a miner had brought. He took out some the materials needed, such as a knife.

Cornelius started cutting and ripping the leather into strips. One of the miners went out to get a woodcutter's axe to shape the wood. "Try to be as nonchalant as you can, act as if you're an average woodcutter in Falkreath, don't try to hide the axe, it will only raise suspicion" he warned the miner.

Ondur walked sleepily out and saw a strange sight. The miners were doing something with leather strips and there were wolf hides lying around "By the Eight, whats going on?" he called to the Nord, "The Breton and Dark Elf said so, and I know better then to ask questions."
"Cornelius, Rhyonir , is there anything I can do to help?"

Cornelius looked up at Ondur. "Wha- How'd you get here? I thought you were at the inn" he questioned. Cornelius looked around. "Ondur, where's Odvan?" he asked nervously. "I thought he was with you. Ondur, if you really want to help, find Odvan and make sure he doesn't get away again. Make sure you find him before he gets anywhere near any Forsworn" Cornelius was starting to sweat. Odvan was a Forsworn, and even if he did help them a little, he was still the enemy, and he knew about the hole in the house. Their only hope now would be if he didn't have the courage to betray Ondur.

Odvan was in the inn, looking for Odvan. He had sneaked away and went to the house when Odvan wasn't looking. He was suddenly afraid. He was still pre-mature and weak. He was an outcast in the inn, the people inside looked at him with lust. They wanted to beat the hell out of him for what the Forsworn did to their city. Odvan start walking backwards. The other Forsworns outside will protect me, they won't hurt me, he thought. He started to slowly make his way out of the inn.

Ondur bumped in Odvan "Hey, where are you going?" Ondur questioned.
He looked at the man: his eyes were fearful and were darting around. Suddenly it clicked "Wait, you weren't thinking of going to the Forsworn were you?"
"Y-y yes, the Forsworn are my brothers, they will protect me!" he shrieked.
"I am sorry for what I am about to do." Ondur apologized as he poured paralysis potion over Ondur.
"What no, NO!!! YOU CAN'T, I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRI..." Ondur shrieked before going stock still.
"I am truly sorry." replied Ondur sadly before grabbing Odvan and bringing him over to Cornelius and Rhyonir "Look who tried to escape!"

"Honestly, I'm not surprised, now Forsworn as you can see we're digging to your drawings, and we want to see them first, ofcourse we will have you decode them for us. So we cannot have you going back to your brothers and go telling them we have found a way to the drawings," said Rhyonir. "Sit down Forsworn, sit down," smiled Rhyonir welcoming the Forsworn to sit with him, as the Forsworn sat down Rhyonir tied him to the chair and exclaimed, "Now you cannot escpae, and I know you must be scared, but don't worry, you will be free once you tell us what the drawings mean."

"Altmer, while you take care of our Forsworn friend I will be heading to the Dead Man's Drink, I am feeling a bit sober, which can never be a good thing, can it?" asked Rhyonir as he exited the house, as he walked to the inn he looked around, trying to spot the Khajiit, but he could not find him and entered the inn. "Two bottles of Nord Mead please Valga," said Rhyonir. "That'll be twenty Septims," replied Valga politely. "I see the price for each bottle has gone down," noted Rhyonir. "Well after what you did earlier, I feel you deserve a tiny discount," said Valga. "Also, bard! Could you play something other than the Age of Aggression, it is very depressing," shouted Rhyonir.

"Well I do know another song, Ragnar the Red; There once was a hero named Ragnar the Red, who came riding to Whiterun from ole Rorikstead! And the braggart did swagger and brandish his blade, as he told of bold battles and gold he had made! But then he went quiet, did Ragnar the Red, when he met the shieldmaiden Matilda who said..." sang Delacourt. "Bards never stop singing, well I guess I'll drink away his singing," laughed Rhyonir as he opened the first bottle of Nord Mead. Valga laughed back at Rhyonir nervously.

OOC: I changed my post and instead of finding the dark brotherhood sanctuary inhabited I found a door that I could have sworn was in Dawnstar.

Cornelius looked at Odvan without saying a word. "First you try to kill me, then when I think that maybe there's some decency in you, you try to rat us out?!" he screamed. He wanted to punch Odvan in the face, but changed his mind when Odvan started to tear up. This was all confusing and scary for him. Cornelius climbed up the hole to happily find out that the three miners had finished constructing a trapdoor. "Ah, this is perfect!" Cornelius said. He was happy to see that there was progress. The four of them carefully placed it on top of the hole and nailed it to the ground. One of the miners then tested it to see if it worked. It opened and closed perfectly.

"Hey boss, The dirt here is turning a lot more humid. This could mean that there might be water at the end of the tunnel" One of the miners who was digging remarked. Cornelius jumped back down the hole and touched the ground. "Keep digging, from my knowledge of books, it seems that we're getting close to some sort of underground lake perhaps" he thought. We'd just have to wait and see, he thought.

Rhyonir walks into the house and inspects the situation as he walks over to the Forsworn, he notices that there are only two miners now in the hole. "Be careful now, you don't want to fall into an underground lake with Slaughterfish in it, then be eaten alive, although that would be entertaining," Rhyonir laughed to himself. Rhyonir looks directly at the Forsworn and withdraws an Iron Dagger. "Would you rather me slit your throat, or stab you in the heart?" Rhyonir laughs as he cuts the Forsworn from his binds.

"Now Forsworn, I will give you your freedom to go back into the Forsworn encampment, aslong as you abide by my rules; One, you must not discuss the hole. Two, you must act as if you had been gathering ingredients, here take these. Three, you must report to myself, the Breton or the Altmer of any orders you receive. Do I make myself clear?" Rhyonir says as he hands the Forsworn a small satchel full of potion ingredients.

"Do not cross me Forsworn, or you will be not shown mercy towards you, or your people!" shouts Rhyonir angrily. As the Forsworn leaves the house Rhyonir locks the door and climbs down the hole. "Don't stop digging because I'm down here, I just want to make sure I'm one of the first to see this almighty Drawings," smirks Rhyonir as he sits on some rubble. Rhyonir opens up the second bottle of Nord Mead and leans his head agains the rock wall behind him, and then he hears something, almost like talking, Rhyonir hushes everyone and whispers, "I think I can hear someone in a cave through this wall."

"I have a bad feeling that the villagers of Falkreath have already found the Drawings, or they're searching for the drawings, we cannot trust them," says the voice through the wall. Rhyonir signals for the miners to climb out of the hole with him. Rhyonir writes on a piece of paper, "I will write down here the true note, I feel like we're being spyed on by the Forsworn, or they have an idea that we are searching for the Drawings." Rhyonir clears his throat and exclaims, "Breton! What herbs did you find outside of Falkreath today? We need to make sure we have enough ingredients to keep up buisiness!" Although on the piece of paper Rhyonir had written, "I overheard some Forsworn who are digging or exploring a cave, and are using it as a secret meeting spot, to be not seen or heard by the people of Falkreath, they have a hunch we are searching for the Drawings."

Rhyonir climbs back into the hole, and the sound of running and climbing can be faintly heard. Rhyonir climbs out of the hole and says quietly, "We need to be careful on what we say in here from now on, has everyone got that, good. The two who were mining before take a rest, Orc and the other Bosmer, get in the hole and start mining, you've barely done anything since you've arrived, and you don't look very tired." Rhyonir smiles as the Orc and the other Bosmer climb into the hole and he takes another drink of the Nord Mead.

OOC: I didn't realise I wrote so much :O

Cornelius started thinking. It would have been impossible if the Forsworn had already discovered what they were searching for in such a short amount of time. But Cornelius did hear talking, which was strange. He jumped into the hole and walked carefully through the tunnel, trying not to make any sound. He reached the end of the tunnel that they had created, and placed his ear on the wall. There was no talking. Cornelius then took a step back and heard the talking again. This didn't seem right.

Cornelius walked back and climbed out of the hole. "Give me a moment" he told Rhyonir and the other miners. He got out of the house and looked at the direction they were digging. Then it hit him. Cornelius stopped by the Gray Pine Goods. He quickly took out a hundred septims and threw them on the table. He was in a bit of a hurry. After Cornelius bought what was needed, he went over to Odvan in a friendly manner not to cause suspicion and pretended as if he was having a small talk with him. Cornelius made sure his voice was really low so no one would hear them, then he gave something to Odvan. "Okay, but I'm only helping you because of the altmer, not your petty threats" Odvan replied to what Cornelius told him. Cornelius then, satisfied walked back to the house and opened the door. "Here" he said, throwing ten rolls of paper on the ground. "We'll use these" he explained. "The tunnel you dug goes right under the inn, where some Forsworn are hanging out. We'll need to be extra careful if we're going to continue digging that way. But the good news is that It's finally coming to an end and we can know what's on the other side" he continued. Everything had to be carefully planned. "Just to make sure however, I had a little distraction set up for the Forsworns to make sure they wouldn't bother us for the next few hours. We're going to have to move fast" He said with a smirk on his face.

Odvan casually walked out of the city, slowly getting out two charcoals that Cornelius had bought for him. He then hid behind a large tree right outside the city, and crouched down. Odvan started bashing the two rocks together, creating sparks that flew in the air. He then bashed again, this time harder. The sparks barely flew this time. He then took a deep breath and carefully bashed them together in a strong, yet smooth way. The wood on the tree started to catch on fire. Odvan blew on it, and after a matter of time, the fire started catching on the whole tree. The smoke could be seen all the way from Helgen. Odvan smiled at a job well done.

Ondur overheard Cornelius' plan and was disgusted at the prospect of more violence. Ondur walked over to Cornelius and asked them "Why are we planning on using violence?" "Shouldn't we try to talk to them?" "They have done nothing wrong so far!"

Cornelius looked at Ondur in confusion. "Violence, oh no, we've already agreed on no more bloodshed" Cornelius elaborated. "You see here Ondur, I plan to drive away the Forsworn's attention on our plans to dig up this tunnel here. You see Odvan should have already finished burning a tree outside. The Forsworn will most likely go out to check it out and investigate" Cornelius explained.

"And stop trying to be undercover, Thalmor spy, I know who you really are" Cornelius seethed through gritting teeth. He started to walk around Ondur. "You blew your cover when you rushed into the room to find us trying to make the trapdoor. You said, and I quote "By the eight". You see, any member of the Thalmor would exclude Talos. I didn't think you people made mistakes like that" He explained. "I suggest you get out" Cornelius order him commandingly.
