Assuming even only 10% of the RS population is legitimate, interestingly enough that trumps every modern-day MMORPG's subscription numbers (yes, even World of Warcraft wherein the best subscription estimates wavers around 12 million).

I used to play Runescape way back when I was about 15/16. I had some good friends on there, they even threw me a surprise 16th birthday party. Went back on a year or two ago, didn't like it much.

I tried RS once, didn't like it myself. Maybe if I had tried it years ago it'd have been something I liked.

I agree so much.

I started my Runescape account back in 2003, and generally 2005-2008 were the best years-ish. Now all these new things trying to grab more money out of us is just ridiculous. I hate the new combat system, trying to get to date with current mmo's but it just doesn't suit Runescape in my opinion. I'm probably going to quit, but not sure yet.
