:) Skyrim should add lanterns they give more light then a torch it has a candle in side the light will run out you need fire to get it work you can hold it and you can put magic in it.

more ideas: lanterns have 40 chance of tracking monster. there are 3 types of candles red hurts monster eyes (monster only) green keeps anything away and the last one is just a candle

Candlelight!! it's like a portable lantern that follows you everywhere without you even needing to carry it!

Hmm, I must have misunderstood your post. Is that pic from Skyrim? If it is..well there's your lantern. Otherwise, you would have to use a torch or candle/magelight.

i dont think lanterns , torchs and lights are necessary in the game at all, i didn't found a situation that i need to use those light things.

That's Amnesia if I recall correctly. I thought it was kinda weird too that you can actually pick up lanterns in skyrim but never actually use them. It'd make an interesting alternative to the torches or light spells if you want a no magic kind of character. I use a mod that has darker nights so something like that would be useful.

the game, without mods, is always bright, when you found some dark spot , u will not pick up a torch or cast a magelight coz u dont want to break that rare moment, or coz u are lazy.

Lighting though is one of the areas of the game that is crying out for mods most. If you are on PC and have the card for it, the difference between the stock game and a post processed version is...LOL night and day!

No I swear I didn't see what I was doing there until I got to the end of the sentence!

It's immersion killing to be hitting 'T' every night because I swear it's really late, look at the time and it's 3am, but my visibility is 5 miles in the plains with no moon out and it looks to be 5pm. Processing takes care of that nicely. And then it's a whole new game in which Aura Whisper becomes more important than any other shout and you really wish you didn't have to give up a hand to carry a torch or cast Magelight every 30 seconds because it could cost you your life when everyone knows where you are and you can't see them.

with all that said, the Khajiit's nightvision is useless without mods?
