Taking the Plundge, now what should I expect

Having played Skyrim from quite awhile now I'm taking the plunge and buying The Game of the Year edition of Oblivion for my PC (I checked, it's well more than capable of running it on the highest settings and then some). So two questions:

1) what should I expect that will be radically different from Skyrim as far as game play goes?

2)What are the best mods that are still out there for Oblivion?

you will expect a different province Cyrodiil infact the largest country in Tamriel and the heartland where the empire is the sole ruler you will encounter more imperials then any other race and far less snow and more forests and more generic controls and animations and well as slightly inferior graphics

best mods to get are lighting and texture mods and body replacers as well as any mod that adds new updated animations you should also get the unofficial patches
