(I had completely forgotten about this thread *pokerface*)
Myra had apparently sunk in to the floor, and was none too impressed with this new stranger. She was standing right there. She shook her head and turned back to them. "Thank you. But... Might I ask, why you've come here? To Skyrim?", she asked, twisting her wedding band on her finger.

(Occ:was that directed towards gen?)

Isunder heeded no interest in whoever had stepped into the tavern. His arm brush Maj'riik's, capturing her attention and causing her to listening silently to their conversation. "My studies lured me here. The bond that the ancient Nords had with history..." He shook his head slightly, digressing. "It's alluring. As for Maj'riik ... I'm not sure." He glanced at his companion.

Maj'riik's mind was on the suspicious Argonian. She managed to reply with the cliffed yet drawing accent of Khajiit, "Curiosity and boredom, of course. Truly, the only difference between these provinces is how starved and adapted the creatures are to the environment." Praise Kynareth, these people are strange. She glanced over quickly and slightly at the Argonian man again. Was he still watching her?
She knew that her white fur was a surprise, but so was the way that he was acting. They both seemed to share something in common: a tension that beheld that they were both ready to bolt out of the tavern at any second. Flight or flee; Khajiit often felt this way, but an Argonian? The air hinted at secrets, and she was "crazy" enough to want to delve, deep and dangerous, to find out what it is. Not because she particularly cared -- but it does abide by the saying "curiosity killed the cat".
She kept a pokerface and looked at the others conversing. "What about you?" she heard Isunder ask.

"More or less the same reason. One to learn, and two to live my own life. My parents are great, but... I was still their precious daughter. Too much of my life I lived being let do whatever I want. I didn't talk much. When I first got here, it was pretty awful. But I made some friends, and I had some adventures. I got heartbroken, and I got fixed back up. I'm here with my husband in Whiterun specifically for an old friend's wedding. Her name's Sareen. Beautiful story she has. Perhaps some day you'd like to hear it."

Gen knew that the Khajiit knew he was watching her. 'Whatever happened to "Curiosity killed the cat?' He thought. He chuckled at the fact of face to face combat as he usually prefers to kill silently. He was however ready to unsheathe his war-axe and remove limbs. He felt the adrenaline run through his blood. 'No he thought...thats not right. Besides...no one wants her dead yet.'. He pondered his options. He can't just run up and confront her. No one just runs up to someone and asks "Hey you! Are you an assassin". Besides, she's not by herself. Two imperials, One male one female. He could easily cut down the Female, But he didnt know about the male. And the Khajiit Looked deadly as well. As a servent of the mother, Gen had to be smart about his actions. He decided to wait. He asked the bartender for another argonian ale, and plotted.

(OCC:BTW gen isnt argonian he is breton XD)

Myra's spine tingled. She knew that feeling well. One Inn after the other, even now, someone would be suspicious of her. They had their rights to be; she wasn't what she appeared to be. Some saw the Altmer in her, and some saw the Imperial, but none saw how dangerous a mistake it was to think she would be an easy mark. She listened patiently to Isunder, but built herself up mentally, repeating a spell over and over, ready for the worst.

Isunder noticed her reaction. "Some day," he agreed, keeping cool. "Look, Myra. It's been great conversing with you, but Maj'riik and I have to travel in the morn. Perhaps we'll meet again soon." He gave her a smile. Quite the charmer, yes -- and it had saved his life multiple times. He got to his feet.

Maj'riik rose with him. This Argonian had the scent of danger on him. As much as she wished to mess with his nerves, she kept such actions at bay. She looked at him again, though, her eyes narrowed for a second before returning to their wide, curved, normal state. "It was a pleasure." That's what people say after a long talk, yes? she thought, reminding herself of just how secluded she really was. That was taxed into the fact that she would not sleep when another was, specifically in the same bed. She'd read as Isunder slept for the hours, or end up falling asleep in a chair, but never near another. It was just a comfort thing -- she was too used from bunking with others when she once traveled with Khajiit merchants. Plus, who knew where daggers could lie in waiting.
She was always like this, believing that everyone is a threat, or else simply annoying. Perhaps she could sneak onto the roof of the inn. Then again, it felt like solitude was the last thing that was needed at this time. Still, her nature was leaning towards it. She decided on it.

Gen saw that the Khajiit was heading to her room at the in. He could probably sneak up and interrogate her, but what if he was wrong? What if he was just paranoid. He thought best to just rent a room get some sleep and head back to the sanctuary in the morning.

Isunder held open the door -- to their own rented room -- for Maj'riik. She nodded a thank-you to him and stepped inside. Once the door was closed, she told him as quietly as she could that she could be wandering the streets of Whiterun.
Isunder looks quite unhappy of this, but after a meeting of the eyes, he said, "Well. I'm not you're father. Just be careful, Maj'riik. The city may be pleasant in the daytime, but the world is different in the dark." He was wary, too, but much lighterly so than Maj'riik. She could be cautious or bold at times.

"Speak for yourself," she shrugged, lifting her lips to reveal a set of semi-sharp white teeth in a feline smile of amusement; Isunder saw her express a smile only very rarely. "Sleep well, my friend. This one will see you in the morning." She watched him settle down onto the bed and slowly fall asleep. Akatosh guide your dreams. She headed back downstairs, to the entry door, wishing Hulda a good evening on her way out.

Gen couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about that Khajiit. He didn't really know what to think. He opened a book he found in his bag and began reading.

Maj'riik opened the door and stepped through. The door shambled shut behind her quietly. She glanced around her. Nobody around. Good. She began scaling the wall of the inn, heading to the roof. If she couldn't be in the wilderness under the stars, at least she could make herself dream as if she were. A good idea of hers to relieve tension.
Her thoughts turned from the Argonian to Isunder. She worried for him sometimes. He seemed more scribe than warrior. Then again, that's what he really was.
And what was she? Silence. A nightblade and thief -- raider of the night and strider of the lands. Troublemaker, life hacker ... and an impatient, arrogant cat at times. She reached the roof and sat down on the rough straw-topped material, laying down and looking up at the stars, letting her guard down for a moment and thinking back to her past adventures, mostly from Cyrodiil.

Gen woke up abruptly. He must have fell asleep while reading. Had long had it been, 3 maybe 4 hours? He felt rested as he didnt sleep much. He decided to head out now. Might as well. He snuck out the doors of The Bannered Mare into the night and felt the breeze against his face. He began to walk and then stopped as he heard something. Up on the roof. He climbed up on a fense to get a better view. Maybe if it was a bird or two, he could get some target practice with his new bound bow spell. As he looked up unto the roof he found what made the noise, though it wasnt a bird. 'The Khajiit!' He thought to himself. As of now he had conflicting thoughts. Should he go over and interogate her, Or just leave and risk an ambush. He still didn't know if she was really an assassin.

The sun had an hour yet before it would rise. The figure of Maj'riik shifted slightly as she awoke. She had fallen asleep? How unsurprising. She only wondered what had woken her. The people of the city only woke when the sun was up, which it seemed straining to do. Perhaps a dog got out of someone's house? She let her body rest for a moment, taking in the peaceful silence.
It didn't feel too peaceful. A tiny shiver ran down her arms. She felt Myramak, her bow, pressing into her back. She sat up to relieve the tension. I hope Isunder is not yet woken. I don't want to spend a journey in silence. She crept to the edge of the roof and then froze. She felt eyes on her. Someone was awake after all? She did not draw her bow, reminding herself that any kind of weapon usage in the city was looked down upon. Who was watching? Her sharp amber eyes gazed the area below her.
The Argonian? He must have spend the night at the inn, or returned so early in the morn. She met his eyes for a second. Her body posture bespoke of just how secluded from society she really was. She was calculating what movements he might make like a deer watches a wolf, and wondering about last night. He hadn't said anything strange, but still...

Gen stared at the strange khajiit as she spoted him. So much for a sneak attack. What now? Does he just attack? Does he flee? He decides to just try to be nice, but how nice can you be when someone thinks you want to slaughter them? Well it was worth a try. "Uh...Hello" he said with a slight smile. "My name is Gen"

She stared at him, her slim eyes widening a bit. "This one is trying to be ... social?" She blinked. Well, who knew. Keep your mind, cat. He didn't seem too hostile. What a strange Argonian.
She hesitated to tell her own name for no true reason, instead jumping off of the edge of the roof and landing on the ground in a neat, feline manner, again speaking of her normal seclusion. "Maj'riik," she answered after mulling the possibilities vaguely in her mind.

"So you do have a name." Gen said. He Surprised that she didn't try to kill him. "I apologize for my...Early behavior. I do admit that at times i can be a little jumpy. I thought you were a-" He stopped himself. If he told her he risked revealing what he really was. Part of "The Brotherhood". Hell, He was probably just a killer. "Uh never mind that...".

She arched an eyebrow but did not reply. She did not respect secrets, nor did she spill them. Let this man stutter over his next-chosen words, while she seeks out the truth.
But perhaps this was not the time. The sun was soon to rise, and Isunder with it. He wasn't an early riser ... but he learned that it's better, with Maj'riik around, to wake up earlier willingly than to be forced to wake with an impatient strider in his face. Neither wanted to bother each other.
Isunder, in the room, was still asleep.
Maj'riik glanced towards the entry door to the inn.

He noticed that she was looking at the entrance to he inn. She then remembered her imperial friend. He over heard him saying something about traveling.
