Ukraine and Russia: are we heading for war?

It's too soon to call imo. Then again, I'm sure there were discussions just like this one before world war one and world war two, and probably countless other wars. "Will they or won't they?" We won't know for sure until it happens, but it's better to prepare for the worst than be caught with your pants down.

I think that it's overrated. People are seriously overstating Russia's ability to get it's own plops together. If war breaks out in the Ukraine, it will be mostly Russian people vs. Russian people. Why do we (americans) always feel compelled to say it will lead to some huge world-ending war when the U.S. isn't the aggressor? In the eyes of most around the world, they probably think it will be the U.S. that causes WWIII.

Many of them used to be part of the Russian Empire, and Belarusians and Russians are considered to be their closest relatives.

Eh, Canada used to be part of the British Empire not too long ago but nobody would even think to consider themselves British. It seems to be the same notion in a lot of Ukraine, specifically the West. There is a reason why they chose independence after the fall of the USSR. I definitely don't think the powers that be right now in Ukraine consider themselves Russian, in fact I think that's the very thing they are fighting against.

Ohh, you threw me off but yeah okay I agree with that, I would say its a little bit more personal. I think they should just split it down the middle and call it a day. Reminds me of how colonialism fluffed up the natural border lines in Africa which caused a lot of conflict.

But he does have a point. The Commonwealth is a decent force in and off itself. So if such things do go out Russia would face the multiple front war which is always bad.

Ummm... Everyone in the world flipped a bitch when we went on the warpath, this was even under the knowledge America was pissed about actually being hit on their own soil.
Basically people still complained but knew there was a very real reason to why America went to war. This is Russia wanting some more land.

We do have resources to sustain fights. We don't have an large Military, so we focus on training the soldier and not so much relying on technology.

Our Nation's history only has 67 years of peace. War is all we know.

I gotta agree, the Earth is not meant to sustain 7billion people. Unfortunately the zombie apocalypse is taking its sweet time... I do however think that nuclear fallout is not the answer to our population issues.

No one would use Nukes. It is pointless anyway, since we have the technology to disarm Nuclear weaponry while it is in fight.

Um yeah I really don't see them (or anyone) using the Nukes. I'm just saying I would prefer the uhh zombies over the fallout... style... apocalypse...

If there was to be a WW3 it'll start in space, knocking out satellites.
