Was this choice good or was it evil.

Shadow King

Grand master of the Order of Talos.
So when I started my Warrior/Jesus build I was short of cash, and I used to really love beasting and abusing the Dremora at the shrine of Dagon, but my build is really good, I mean really really good, its been 103 hours on this build and his lifetime bounty is 0 gold thats how good he is, I had a dillema because if I wanted to loot Dagons shrine I would have to be his bitch and it would be an evil action to do.

So this is how I justified it to myself, I should do the daedric prince quest for the greater good, I got my character to get Dagons dagger, because if I never got it and guarded the vile weapon someone else could have reclaimed it and used it for evil, once I got the blade I put it in a chest at the bottom of a lake, I do this with all evil artifacts. I beleive its much safer in water than on land (even if the blade was in peices) I just hope an Argonian doesn't find the evil stash lol.

So what I done was it a good or bad action, what is ure oppinion of it, I beleive for the greater good I should seek out all the daedric artifacts and stash them away incase someone else gets them and uses them for evil, what do u think should I or should I not.

I guess it would depend on if you're hiding them better then what they already were..

Especially if they are all being stored away in the same place. Then all one has to do is find that spot and get all the artifacts.

Hmm true, I wonder were the best hiding place in skyrim is, I could keep them in lakeview manor, I have a guard dog and plenty bodies to defend it, maybe keep em in the basement, its hard from a roleplaying view on what to do.

You have to kill some good characters to get all of them. However, since I know for a fact that people in Mundus have an eternal soul, I never really look at it like that. In the words of Dragonball Z villains, I SENT THEM TO ANOTHER DIMENSION!!!!! ^_^

Yea good point I wont kill good people this build forbids it, so I wont do the daedric quests like the molog bal one

In this quest I let Silus Vesuius live and let him take the dagger pieces to his museum, either way you can enter the Shrine and loot it. My mage is also a good alignment character, but I'm trying to do all quests I can with him. Everytime I trigger a daedric quest I try to find the most reasonable choice, sometimes it's not possible like in the Molag Bal or Boethiah quests, but that's not my character's fault, it's how Bethesda created the quest engine, which sometimes is broken. In Molag Bal quest, my mage couldn't let that Vigilant of Stendarr without help, but he couldnt predict that in the end he would be forced to commit an evil act. Unfortunately, that's how it works in Skyrim.

Have you done the Dragon Priest mask yet? You know where you get the final one?

I don't want to give away spoilers so stop reading if you havent but you could always hide them there..

Use the wooden mask and go back in time and store the atrifacts there..then you can hide the wooden mask in the labryith or something..

It's really an excellent idea for those who are good alignment and don't know what to do with the daedric artefacts. I like that! Thanks

Good cannot do evil for Good. It's that simple. What did you gain from this, other than some entertainment value while doing the bidding of one of the worst of the Daedric Princes? If you're serious about RPing, you'll have to Atone for those actions the rest of your Mortal life, and probably be tortured in Oblivion thereafter, that's how far from Neutral you've strayed. In Character, I'd chalk it up to being in the Thrall of a power greater than yourself. MD delights in that kidastuff almost as much as MB, so it's so very much something He'd do. Mind Control, you were a puppet, and that's no excuse, may (Whatever Aedra you chose to ally with. Do did choose one, right? It's not a Preistly type without a God to follow.) I'd turn right around, and go get Dawnbreaker. After all, not All Daedra are completely unrepentant Evil, amirite? Ok, sure, Mehrunes Dagon is, but taking on a Daedric Crusade against the Undead sould make up some Kharmic points, one would think. Stendarr, join the Vigilants as much as possible within the script. Nobody else has even a hope of redeeming you. You can tell yourself it was only to Destroy some of them nasty Dremora, and you got in over your head... (Of course, the D/aedra know the Truth.)

Lmfao, no deadra can touch my soul I am the grandmaster of the Order of Talos, im a prophet to Talos he told me seek out Mehrunes razor in a vison,;) if I didn't retreive it and keep it safe someone would get it and kill many good people.

Pride before a fall, that was probably the sin that opened the door. Look, "Shadow King," you obviously don't understand good well enough to be anything but Bad at it. So, why not revert to your natural alignment? That looks like a prime time for a Face->Heel turn.

Ah, so you want to Cold Read me? Oblivion, no! I'm card carrying Lawful Evil, think Molag Bal. In the interest of Quid Quo Con, you chose the name Shadow King to make your dark side explicit, it's like rocking the Ebony Mail, even crouched in the Darkness, anyone who looks at you knows you ain't the good guy. It glows black. Or not to put a fine point on it, "Yer doin it wrong," and "There's yer problem!"

You consorted with a Daedric Prince, and did His bidding, end of story. Now, you can go back to an earlier save, or embrace it, because that guy is Corrupted. Maybe you thought you were pitching for the other team, but again, that's just what He wants you to believe. You think Manson thought he was a bad person? Mengele was a "Scientist," just ask him. Good intentions are nothing without the Acts to back them up, and it just takes 1 black mark to ruin your reputation, forever. Be careful, you who fight monsters, lest you become one. Now, the best you can hope for is to break even, do enough good works to end up Neutral. You'll never be completely Good again. Bury that damned thig at the bottom of the lake, hop there's no Argonia with a lockpick to discover it, and make it his "Precious." Why do you think it was shattered, and scattered in the first place? Because it's a bad penny, read the lore, it always turns back up. This time, you were just the hand of that fate.

And Mehrunes Dagon is laughing at your folly.

When u said that precious part that was some funny plops:). I know the lore of the razor that's why I went and got it, to protect it from people like the mythic dawn guy, if he didn't get it someone else would have. If good people do evil against evil people/entitys, does that make them evil? sometimes to find the cure you have to use the disease. Oh Shadow King isn't a benevolent name:) a name can mean any thing but really what is in a name, is it not by our actions that define us.

is it not by our actions that define us.

I think that's the point Psiberzerker is trying to make, bud. Actions define you IRL and in-game. In-game you did the bidding of a Daedric Prince, which is an inherently "bad" act. Bad act = innocence lost/no longer a truly "good" character. The purity of it is gone. At best, you've stepped into a moral gray area, which I would compare to Robin Hood. Sure, Robin helps the poor, but he still has to steal (which is wrong) in order to do so.
