What Children did you Adopt?

I've only adopted Sofie so far. I want to adopt a second child, but I'm gonna complete most of the non-radiant faction quests first. I'm saving the civil war for last, second to last if I count the main story.

Okay. I went ahead and adopted Samuel from the orphanage in Riften. This was a while ago. I think he and Sofie don't get along, because I came home to name calling today.

I was previously unaware that you could adopt orphans off the streets. I probably would've adopted them, instead of Hroar who found a pet skeever and Samuel who just tells me how amazing it is that I built my house every day.

Update:

I indicated earlier in the thread that I was going to do some experimenting with adoption and the results. I am done now. I have found out as much as I think I can. Allowing for scripting, I have some behavior results or just possible coincidences as a result of what child, parenting style etc. I will be posting them soon.

Sorry it has taken so long but my schedule has been a bit tight. So for those intersted, I will be posting the results soon.

I have run across this too. I fixed it by scolding the kids, then playing a game with them, followed by telling them to do chores. After that, I didn't notice it happening again. However, I have had to follow those same steps I mentioned twice with a different set of adopted children before the arguments stopped (as far as I could tell).

I found a mod that lets you adopt up to six children, so now my Skyrim has no homeless children. Lucia doesn't have to beg for food, Sofie doesn't have to sleep in the snow, and Alesan and Blaise don't need to live as indentured slaves anymore. I'm not planning on adopting another two, unless a child is orphaned in a vampire or dragon attack.
