Why do some People think Ulfric Stormcloak is Racist

OOOO another one. People assume Ulfric is racist. Now I would not liken him to America's founding fathers. I see more Robert the Bruce or William Wallace. But policies like the Grey Quarter and Argonian dock workers give an appearance of it.

I'm not assuming, I know he is. And I gave very good reasons to show that this arrogant bastard is racist. If he weren't racist, he would let the Argonians live in the city and fix up the grey quarter. But does he do any of this? No.

America's Founding Fathers? You know, there were a lot of other extremely racist and bigoted countries in the world besides the Original Thirteen Colonies who broke away from Great Britain. The US wasn't the only place to of ever had slaves, I'm trying to figure out why people focus on them?

Wow! I don't believe you posted that. Honor is pretty much everything to a soldier, how he does, behaves and treats other's, not to mention how they fight. I don't understand why you think " honor is useless crap". Maybe to some in service, it is "useless", but to most, it is a code they live by. And for the record, even civilian's live by honor in how they work and live. One doesn't need to wear a patch on their sleeve to show they have honor. People will SEE it by the action's.

If you reread my post I said, "If you look at the big picture." While its true that you could sympathize with the rebels cause, and you may agree with what they stand for; if you are informed enough about the reality of the situation, the only correct answer is to side with the empire.

Sorry Wandervon, but the correct answer is to join with whatever side your character thinks is right, from a role-playing viewpoint. If the correct answer was to always join the Legion in Skyrim, they wouldn't have given the player a choice. I agree with your assessment that siding with the Stormcloaks is the wrong thing to do when you look at the big picture as a flesh and blood player of Skyrim.

But what I'm saying is, if you are role-playing a certain character (for example: a Nord that hates Dunmer), you wouldn't side with the Legion. A character like that would most likely be a Ulfric sympathizer. If you role-play, your character may not even understand the politics of the situation, or even care. One of my builds is an evil character, through and through. With that character I joined the Dark Brotherhood and the Stormcloaks.

Conversely, an evil character may decide to join the Legion, because if they do see the big picture, they may recognize that manipulating the court in Solitude after smashing the rebellion would provide them with far more power and influence.

No. The empire are hardly a bunch of sandal-wearing hippie Reds, Bull. They are comparable to a military state. They believe in expansionist policies as well as the death penalty, because they execute prisoners, even if they are simply accused of siding with the rebellion. The only time I can think of in American politics where people's careers were destroyed by pure accusation is when the McCarthyists brought government employees, union sympathizers and people that worked in the entertainment industry before private industry panels and government committees for being alleged communists, without any sufficient forms of evidence.

I can belive I posted it. If you look at all of the Imperial soldiers they don't show that dumb honor thing but the Stomrcloaks get killed over it or will kill themselves over it. An Imperial may seek medical attention if hit. A Stormcloak would probably say, "AH I have been hit, I have dishonored my ancestors (who are dead btw) so I have no reasn to live now!" Honor means nothing. Honor doesn't win wars, battle strategy and training does.

I'm not taking about hippies dude. I'm taking about communists and socialists. McCarthyism tried to stop this type of ideology from poisoning our society, but it was obviously a flop. Just watch, the communist need to destroy the free market system and the free people's rights before they can take full power and show you what they really want. They're slowing chipping away at the constitution, the bill of rights and our economy. They're doing it slowly, and softly so people gradually get used to the idea of being screwed all the time. As long as the media is liberal bias, the people will listen and be brain washed. You'll see.

The Stormcloaks don't need the empire to kill the Thalmor, the empire failed at that. Now it's the Stormcloak's turn, and the empire is just getting in the way.

If the Empire lost to the Dominion, and the Stormcloacks are having trouble with the empire, what makes you think they're strong enough? It's obvious now is the time for man, mer and beast to unite against the Aldmeri Dominion, and the Empire is te only force that seems interested I that. Also, it seems easier to compare the Stormcloaks to Confederates than Colonial revolutionaries.

Okay, here's a list.
1. Alvor of Riverwood flat out says that Nords worshiped Talos and had personal shrines in their houses. More importantly, the Empire didn't stop this. Even at the end of the Civil war, Rikke prays to Talos, and Tullius is all, 'I didn't quite hear that'. So Ulfric had literally nothing to complain about. Of course, a Stormcloack wouldn't bother with this.
2. The Empire did not abandon Skyrim. It was the Stormcloacks that abandoned the empire. For all their talk of being betrayed by a political gambit, it's them that kill their High King and start killing. Regardless of the reasons, pretty much every rebellion or revolution is a betrayal.
3. Would you rather protect a nation or a idea? Just my opinion, but it seems more disgraceful to start another war just because you're not happy with how the fighting stopped then it is to endure an unfavorable situation.
4. Not just the Empire, but every race, could only help the effort against the Aldmeri Dominion. Even if Skyrim is enough, there's no reason to go it alone.
In short, the whole thing just seems like a temper tantrum.
