Why, Why, Oh Why ?

to the skyrim devs here my plead

In a town called solitude is a small tavern, by the name of The Winking Skeever. As i entered for a nice brew, what do i hear that makes my body all nice and warm, a beautiful singing/playing Bardess. named Lisette. I can sit here for hours and listen to her sing and play, it's not fair i cannot marry this wonderful woman but only to see and hear her from a short distance. Why, Why, Oh Why ?

On another note ( no pun intended lol ) what cant we have a bard class or even the ability to play musical instruments and sing, as these Bards and Bardesses do in this game ?

please excuse my typing my english is not that good :)

I agree with you, actually. I wish we were able to play musical instruments in some form in the game; it would provide a nice break from killing things. :P It is one of the things that I wish TES would take from the Fable series- I always loved taking a break from questing to play "Lute Hero" and earn some extra gold. Not sure why they wouldn't have included that option, especially since they included an actual Bards College.

I agree with the music playing. No point in lutes if you can't play them.

Fable 3, a much lesser game in many regards and just different in others, even has that and the ability to work jobs. Bethesda could add a lot of functionality from that game to TES VI and I would love it.

The jobs is a big one too, agreed jRi0T68. I'd much rather make some pies than chop wood (very slowly, I might add). Though you are right, Fable is definitely not on the same overall level as TES.

The Bards College faction quest certainly is "bait and switch", which is a bummer because of the possibility of making some gold, as kyleekay pointed out. I remember, upon completing said quest after my first playthrough, how disappointed I was when I picked up a drum and wasn't able to play it. :(

Bard's College doesn't get you anything except more quests and rewards. I was secretly hoping to channel my inner Hendrix on lute. Shameful.

But if they "borrowed" the type of control Fable 3 allows over the kingdom to let you run guilds once you've become their master, it would turn TES into a much more immersive experience.

Fable doesn't do most of what TES does, but the things it does well would make a nice addition to TES. I enjoyed all 3 games multiple times through each, but it just isn't as immersive or developed.

The #2 thing I'd like to see from Fable to TES, after control of guilds, is the dying of apparel.

Yeah, it's a shame they couldn't expand on the Bards College quests

At least let us be able to play the drums and lutes we find...
