I've been running Wildcat for like three years straight but finally got tired of everything staggers everything. Even with the MCM tweaks it felt like I was playing a knockdown simulator instead of actual combat. Dropped it last week and swapped to a lighter combat mod and honestly the game feels way more readable now.
But here's the thing - I don't want to go back to vanilla either. Wildcat fixed so many actual problems with Skyrim's AI and pacing that I can't unsee them. The way enemies use power attacks, the healing, the positioning - that stuff is legitimately better.
Anyone else caught in this middle ground? Like do you just disable the stagger perks in the MCM or did you find a different combat mod that scratches the same itch without turning every bandit encounter into a ragdoll physics demo. I know Vigor exists but I haven't tested it properly yet.
