I stored my nightangle armor in a wardrobe at the castle of winterhold. I went back a few days later and my armors gone. I loved that armor.... what should i do.
Only some containers will do that. The Creation Kit allows you to see which containers have respawning enabled. Cupboards, Dressers, End Tables and Wardrobes do not have respawning enabled. His armor shouldn't have vanished.Every container in the game that you do not own (like houses or chests in any of the guilds) will randomly respawn generic items so be careful.
... His armor disappearing may simply be the result of the game glitching.
True but the others are easily distinguishable by their "Steal from" red tags.Or he may just be looking in the wrong container. There are a bunch of wardrobes at the College.

As I stated before, wardrobes are safe so that's really not an issue. Not remembering where you put stuff is though.
You can't buy Hjerim unless you do on of the civil war faction quest lines. You can get it sooner if you choose the Stormcloak quest line. If you choose the Imperial quest line it wont become available until you've completed the whole quest line.
Great news I was looking in the hall of attainment. Had my nightangle and thievesguild armor and a lot of other valuable possessions stored thank god i found it!

Go to the Palace of Kings in Windhelm and speak to Ulfric Stormcloak to start the quest line. After you complete the Battle of Whiterun and the first subquest in the Liberation of Skyrim quest you should be able to purchase Hjerim but speaking of Whiterun, is there any reason why you don't want to purchase Breezehome (or any other house) instead?Where do I join the stormcloacks and how long does it take to actually get far enough in the quest line to purchase the house? I really need a house even though i'm about to be the archmage at college of winterhold.
Can you post your perk build? If you've been training Light Armor skill and taking the Light Armor armor rating bonus perks then switching to heavy armor is probably not a good idea....i have thieves guild armor chllred sword. I want to get some stronger armor though. Do you suggest I train smithing to get to the level to create my own deadrick armor is there a less time consuming way to get my hands on some protective armor when I'm not a mage.
