If you find it offensive why did you bother coming to this thread? You knew well of an advance, base on the name of this thread, that this was anti Catholic, and you still persist of coming here. You just offended yourself by willing to click on a thread knowing that you would be offended, not I.

You are really a nice guy and I came to this topic because I find the discussion interesting. But I was offended because you just named the whole religion hatred. And that's unfair in my opinion.

It hurts me personal and if you don't understand that, it doesn't matter. But rating a post that has something to do with the topic as 'off-topic' in order to take revenge makes no sense.

No I didn't give you the off topic pin base of revenge, it was given base on the principal. What I do find childish is someone purposely coming here knowing that their going to be offended, and when they do get offended they down right complain about it. To me that outrageously ridiculous. Why would someone do something like that?

Like I said: I find the discussion interesting. Talkin about the church and how ridiculous some things are. But saying one generalizing thing about one whole religion crosses the line. I would have said the same thing if it was about muslims.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles has reached a $10 million settlement with four victims of sexual abuse perpetrated by former priest Michael Baker.

The settlement follows weeks of sharp criticism of Cardinal Roger Mahony, who is accused of actively protecting the pedophiliac priest as head of the archdiocese for nearly three decades. Mahony has been in the public eye since the court-ordered release of the church's personnel files in January, which revealed his involvement in the cover up.

Many things about the church are retarded. We were in church last Christmas and there was a beggar sitting in front of me. A guy in a robe started collecting money for the church. I was angry because it was Christmas and they were only thinking about themselves and not about the homeless guy who had no home or a family. I gave him all the money I had with me that night..

Dude, I've watched that numerous times, what point are you trying to prove? Yes, I think religion is BS. However, making a thread like this isn't making Atheists look good. I'm all for people believing what they want, I just feel organized religion isn't needed.

I'm just trying to say you are talkin about a very sensitive subject. And using heavy words like 'religion is hatred' is not propriate in my opinion. I do find the discussion about the catholic church interesting. But do you really need to make a thread to explain how much you hate a certain group? There's no need for that.

I'm not an Atheist... I'm agnostic. No I didn't create this thread to represent all of the atheists that are out there in cyber world. This thread was solely created to vent out my frustrations. You ask what's my point? Theirs no point that I'm trying to prove other than to lash out my frustrations with videos that I find interesting.

I'm for freedom of religion, as long as it doesn't harm anyone, both emotionally and physically.

Ever hear the saying, one bad apple spoils the bunch? Once again, if you dislike Christianity then you should be consistent with disliking the other religions as well. This thread just ultimately makes you look like fool who doesn't have anything better to do then stir the plops.

Yes I heard of it, but I don't necessary agree with it. If I was a registered Republican (I'm a democrat) I wouldn't feel like an idiot because of Bush, or because of someone like Mitt Romney. I'm my own person. If a politician leader, who happens to be a democrat, makes an ass out of him/her self doesn't make me feel like an ass or an idiot. I live by my own set of standards

I came here because I thought this was going to be a discussion. But this looks more like a conviction to me. And if you start a thread about a very sensitive subject you could have known that people would react this way. So I don't see why you are so surprised. You acuse me of not having a 'thick skin' but I could acuse you of the same thing. If you can't handle those reactions don't start a thread like this.

If this is your view I agree with you. But in your last comments the only thing you're doing is telling how much you hate religion. That gives the idea that you don't respect people and their believes. I think this thread wouldn't cause any troubles if you didn't use so much heavy words. Because now, for the first time, I see that you don't have a problem with religion unless people do bad things with it. That wasn't clear from the beginning. And that was why I had a problem with all this..
